Mookata Buffet @ $53/2 pax 😋😋 They’re currently having a promotion at $53 nett/2 people or $26.90/person!! Not sure how long their promotion is for (so call up before going down) but it’s super worth it 😍😍 Salted egg cheese is easily the best cheese pull in Singapore and it tasted so so good with bits of curry leaves and strong hints of salted egg, all masked in a scrambled-egg-looking cheese. The mookata comes in a grill with 4 side slots, of which 3 can be different cheeses (salted egg cheese, truffle cheese, mozzarella cheese, ladyboy cheese, in descending order of bombziness) and the last being grilled egg (light taste was good for neutralizing the greasiness so can eat more!!). The variety was decent with 3 main categories. Category 1 (cheap ingredients) with vegetables, 3 types of mushrooms, maggi mee and rice. Category 2 (cheap meat ish things) with cheese tofu, different types of cheese balls (so so), pork collar, pork belly and quail eggs. Category 3 (the goods) with lamb rack, beef, chicken, smoked duck, salmon, clams, scallops and imitation abalone. Felt that the seafood wasn’t great except the salmon, and the beef, pork collar and chicken (takes long to cook tho) definitely tasted better (especially with the cheese). MVP of the meal still goes to the salted egg cheese which made everything taste amazing 😋😋 As if all these wasn’t enough, the meal comes with free flow super sweet drinks (thai milk tea, green tea milk tea, lemon tea) and ice cream (chocolate, raspberry ripple, mint, yam, blueberry). Pretty worth it meal with amazing superb service and no time limit. Location is near the supper stretch and opens till late as well! Free parallel parking around the area on weekends too 💯💯 Ambience might be a little hot and ventilation wasn’t great, but definitely a great spot to pig out and roll around in endless cheese 🐽🧀

Cheesy Mookata There was a wide variety of dishes and meat to choose from and the cheese was good too! The buffet includes free flow drinks and ice cream which makes it a pretty good deal!

Cray Slayyy (~$30) Ah 😍 ladyboy's buffet sends you to heaven with the free flow of crayfish here!! Well, that's basically what I filled 90% of my stomach space with, heh. The rest of the choices for bbq were adequate, so don't ask for much.

Foie Gras For Mookata Something my daughter wanna give it another chance. She never like it bcoz of the free flow of oil splattering. Lol 😂 Today's good experience for her. Food OK. Meat (chicken and pork) was tender. Didn't try the beef. But the portion of vegetable was miserable when we added. $2.40 for few leaves. Lol Foie Gras was good. We had 2 portions. Service was good for coffee shop.

For Late-Night Coffeeshop Mookata Hardly half a year since we featured their first Kovan spot in July's Newly Opened guide, this coffeeshop mookata by Mediacorp actors Chew Chor Meng and Dennis Chew has expanded to a second location, this time in Bishan. Both outlets keep to the brand's no frills, heartland-dining vibe, making this one of our top choices for super laid-back Thai barbecue-steamboat. Also, they open till midnight on weekdays and till 2am on weekends — perfect for supper! Get the Standard Platter for 2 ($26), which comes with a good selection of meats including prawns, mussels, scallops, mussels, pork collar and belly and chicken thigh, along with veggies. There's also been a lot of praise from the Burpple community about their chilli sauces. Burppler wanderingmonkeyy shares that they offer two types, and that the spicier one goes best with the meats. Pro tip: We heard they fill up really quickly at dinnertime, so go slightly before or after peak dining hours to avoid the queue. Avg price: $25 Photo by Burppler wanderingmonkeyy

For an Affordable Mookata Supper The third outlet of popular Happy Mookata in Golden Mile, this joint in Serangoon is great for group dinners as well as post-drinks supper (it opens till 4am daily). The $25.90 buffet allows you two soup bases — chicken and tom yum, along with a selection of almost 30 ingredients and their signature nacho cheese dip, which Burpple Tastemaker Denise Ong finds "seriously addictive and highly sinful". Zoom in on their black pepper marinated beef, popcorn chicken and tom yum prawns, then end the meal on a sweet note with their free flow ice cream. Take note that drinks are an additional $2.90. The mookata here may not be out of this world, but it's very decent, affordable and will definitely hit the spot for you and your friends when the craving strikes! Pro tip: Check out their other outlets at Sunset Lane if you're in the west, and Golden Mile Tower if you're in the east! Avg Price: $30 per person Photo by Burpple Tastemaker Denise Ong

Buffet ($25.90 Nett + Free Flow Drinks; $2.90/pax) Clean, and decent. Brightly lit, and bare interior, shouldn't deter you away. The service is great, quick to response and very fast in clearing the dishes, leaving you space to grab more food. Well marinated with sesame oil, sesame seeds and garlic, their meat is quite delicious. Ingredients are fresh, and I absolutely love their freshwater crayfish, small, fresh enough, firm and crunchy. I orders rounds of it. Recently, they introduce a tom yum soup base, which was decent but as you keep cooking, the soup turned extremely sour that even my mom disapproved. I think they should return to the drawing board to tweak the broth. I'm still sticking to the chicken broth, light and still the best after the grilled meat oil dripped into the soup sexy and seductively. Nachos cheese blend, is seriously, I repeat, seriously addictive and highly sinful and overly blood vessel clotting. Everything just went well with the nachos cheese sauce, and I mean literally everything. From their deep fried food (we had popcorn chicken, just so good) to their grilled pork belly and even their "abalone" which my Brother vouch for taste yummy with that nachos cheese sauce. Be warned, you will definitely feel fat after the meal, but leaving the place absolutely happy.
