Homemade Beef Lasagna ($24), Seafood Linguine ($28), Mushroom Risotto ($20), Spinach & Ricotta Tortellini ($22) Thank you #burpplebeyond for the keeping some of these restaurants in contact! We were able to enjoy Amano's amazing pastas, at a 1 for 1 deal. I called in advance to order so that I didn't have to wait too long at the restaurant. Unfortunately, some of the dishes that I wanted were out of stock, but nonetheless, it was still a hearty meal! The standouts from this meal was the Mushroom Risotto & the Tortellini! The Unami earthy flavours of the risotto filled the air as we opened each container. While it doesn't look like much, it tastes a whole lot better. The tortellini (looks more like ravioli) was packed with spinach & ricotta & each piece was stuffed yet perfectly sealed. The balance of the sauce & the ravioli was just right! If you have a chance, do go for their pizzas as well! Worth every penny!

Burrata Pizza Tomato Base, Burrata & Basil - 3 simple ingredients, but becomes a perfect mix on the pizza. Each slice was tangy, yet savoury, and with a hint of herbs. Definitely a slice that you can chow down easily, this Burrata pizza stole our hearts and stomach the second it hit our tongues. What I enjoyed as well was the thin, light and airy crust, which was hand-pulled before being thrown in the oven! Best part, this is on burpple beyond, and is part of the 1 for 1 offerings!

Now This Dry Style Ramen Can Be Delivered to Your Home Thanks to @dphuacs (with the link-up from @engtingting), I received a delivery from @kajikensquare2 for my family lunch. It’s probably been more than a year since I had Mazesoba, so I was looking forward to having the dry-style ramen again. What’s the most important step to enjoying this dish is a very thorough toss. And I mean VERY THOROUGH. You should aim to spend at least 30 seconds mixing everything up (if you ordered yours with toppings, do move them to a plate first). Investing this half a minute of your day ensures the strands of ramen are evenly coated in the onsen egg, minced meat sauce, spring onion and strips of crisp seaweed. Otherwise, you will find it clumpy and dry in parts. Pro Tip: You can request for the sauce to be packed separately if you want to pour it in just before mixing which I think is actually the best thing to do. And if you like more heat and acidity in your Mazesoba, don’t be afraid to ask for extra chilli oil and vinegar. David also sent me something that I had never tried before - the Mazesoba with Cod Roe and Mayonnaise ($15.80). I found myself also enjoying this ramen for its lusciously creamy and very savoury-umami sauce. As for ramen texture, @kajikensquare2 cooks theirs al dente for a pleasing QQ chew. You can tap on the link in their bio to order their curbside delivery. By the way, delivery for the FIRST 10 ORDERS EVERYDAY that hits $30 and above is FREE, regardless of distance. But if you live within 10km of their restaurant situated in Novena Square 2 and your order meets the minimum bill amount, you don’t have to pay for delivery.

Here is a great deal that deserves our attention, imagine a chock full of braised seafood over a bed of rice at a promotional price of $19.90, almost 50% off the usual price of $38. Will that entice and pique your interest? If it does, you have until 30 June 2020 to place your order via WhatsApp (contact detail below) and enjoy this rate before the promotion ends. Shining brightly on the spotlight is the popular Lè Fusion’s Braised Abalone Seafood Rice, which is value-for-money and the portion can easily fill 2 pax. Not only does each set comes with a reasonably sized 6-head abalone, you can also expect jumbo prawns, scallops, mussels, fish and squid on top a bed of white rice. The braising consommé will be packed separately for the delivery and all you need to do is to heat it up before pouring it over like a Chinese mui fan. Besides the braised seafood rice, you can also get classic zichar dishes under the Lè Fusion’s Asian Specials such as the Stir Fry Dragon Green Scallion with Silver Sprout ($12), Sweet & Sour Lychee Pork ($16) or the Crispy Pork Belly Mantou ($12), which I especially like as the pork belly has zero of that porky aroma. In addition, it is slow-roasted with a crispy crackling skin that is similar to the Philippine’s lechon and then paired with marinated salted vegetables, mayonnaise and crushed peanuts; all sandwiched over a steamed mantou for a truly fusion dish of two cultures. When you order from the online shop, there is a free islandwide delivery for orders above $100 or enjoy 15% off when you quote LEFUSION15 for delivery orders. •••••••••••••••••••• 📍Lè Fusion 80 Mohamed Sultan Road, The Pier at Robertson, Unit 01-07/08/09, Singapore 239013 WhatsApp +65 6363 9966 for Braised Abalone Seafood Rice promo https://lefusion.oddle.me/en_SG/

So my FB feed has been showing this every day, so this morning when the Mrs ask what to eat for lunch, I said I’ll order you seafood. (Happy Face appeared) I ordered the Braised Seafood Rice from @lefusion_sg. (with 1 abalone, 2 prawns, 2 scallops, 3 mussels, 1 mushroom, 3 pieces of sotong, 1 ‘plant’ of vegetable (not 2 or 3 leaves only) Price only $19.90, if you call or WhatsApp, not via website). I Whatapp them early not expecting any answer till later coz they only open at 11 am, but someone replied at 10.39! So they confirm my order, I paid via QR Code and that’s it. I opted to self collect, coz no ERP now. Also it’s around 15 mins away. So happy and full. Now back to work. Churning data for my users....

Asian Crusted Provencal Lamb Rack ($46). This is inspired from the owners' walk through the world, hence the Eastern-Western blend the ingredients. The lamb rack is coated with breadcrumbs and provencal herbs, which is distinctive due to the addition of bits of mandarin orange skins and Szechuan pepper. Tender lamb racks that are not gamey. 🔸 This fusion style extends to other food served at this chic restaurant nestled near the Singapore River. It's the one restaurant where you can find all the couple owners' favourite eats around the world.

Char Siew Roast Pork Platter Highlights of the dinner at @izyfook the other night! Favorite 4 includes (1) Char Siew; Roast Pork (the golden ratio of fats to meat, sweet caramelised taste for the char siew and crackling good for the roast pork) (2) Superior Prawn Mee Pok (very localized flavors with broth brimming of hei bee flavors) (3) Apollo Roast Half Spring Chicken (very tender with ginger and scallion herbs blend. Hints of spiciness resemblance of that thai flavor.) And (4) Steamed Clams in Dashi (plump sweet clams in a broth filled with sweet umami flavors. Give me some mee sua to go with it!

Easily the most impressive donburi I’ve had of late I wasn’t 100% sure about trying this Wagyu Truffle Don ($34) cause of the steep price, and also cause I ain’t the biggest fan of truffle oil. But then I took a bite, and alright Izy Fook you got me convinced. There’s literally nothing bad I can say about this, nothing for me to pick on. First of all, they used nanatsuboshi Hokkaido rice in this and it was superbly cooked. Moist and just the right amount of sticky, if that makes any sense. Thin slices of wagyu were flavourful, tender, and juicy, with the perfect meat-to-meat ratio. Underneath that hides a slow-cooked egg with a beautiful runny yolk, and when you mix it all up that lends a wonderfully rich flavour to the whole rice bowl. But most importantly, the truffle oil wasn’t overly potent. Just enough to perfume the dish without overpowering everything — and that really sealed the deal for me.

Chicken Tikka Tender, juicy and extremely well-marinated, the chunks were utterly delish. Locked with moisture and the flavours from the spices and yoghurt used, Butter & Spice’s variant of the classic Chicken Tikka also brought a little heat to the table but the homemade yoghurt and mint dip served on the side certainly helped. The slight char around the edges and savoury-sweetness of the meat was simply lip-smacking too.

Palak Paneer Set For some much needed spice during this quiet “Circuit Breaker” period, Butter & Spice has got you covered with their North Indian specialities available for delivery right to your doorstep. Yes islandwide delivery!! So here’s a throwback to a couple weeks ago when I had their Palak Paneer Set. What a steal at $10, the order includes a portion of tandoor-baked naan and basmati rice. My first ever taste of Palak Paneer, I was surprised by how the spinach puree was so rich, aromatic and tantalizingly spicy. Infused with a medley of spices, the thick pasted gravy was a perfect match to the warm bowl of rice as well as the fragrant garlic naan. Chewy, and not too doughy, the flat bread was able to soak up a nice amount of the sauce with each dip and added a nice touch of garlicky sweetness. Also, not forgetting the soft pillowy cubes of cottage cheese found in the paste which cut a bit of the heat for me and delivered a creamy, mild cultured milk flavour.
