What was originally intended for dinner dine-in only is now available all day for takeaway or delivery. This originally dinner-exclusive menu is SPRMRKT's new vegetable-forward creations. And this adds to their existing menu of café-style favourites, available for orders through their newly launched online ordering site E-SPRMRKT at website: e.sprmrkt.com.sg. 🔸 Pictured are: * Crab - with burnt corn, pomegranate, sriracha mayo, sea salt * Hamachi ($32) - Grilled Hamachi collar, capers, burnt butter, anchovy * Mackerel - with tamarind, coconut sugar, buttered kale, tomato salsa * Heirloom Baby Carrots ($26) - with mustard seeds, charred leeks, pressed tofu, halloumi cheese * Ginger Calamansi (spiked) - with calamansi, ginger, mint, sugar, soda, gin * Pomegranate Lemon (spiked) - pomegranate, lemon, sugar, soda, vodka 🔸 The fishes and seafood were fresh and tasty, but the heirloom carrots became the highlight of the meal. Will share in detail about that and some main courses in my next post.

Back in April, SPRMRKT opened its third outlet at Dempsey Hill and due to the circuit breaker, all dining-in has been halted but that is not going to stop them from shifting the focus to takeaways and deliveries. Now you can get food and beverages from SPRMRKT via the order link below and deliveries will be made across all of their three outlets. I had the opportunity to experience a few of the signature and new dishes from SPRMRKT’s all-day cafe menu for brunch this week, delivered directly to my home, and it is as good as dining in at the actual restaurant. Pictured is the spread of food that includes a serving of Brussel Sprouts ($15), an excellent starter of charred Brussel sprouts with burnt corn and pomegranate in a sriracha mayo and Aburi Salmon Grain Bowl ($24) on a bed of organic Cambodian brown rice with tomatoes, avocado, poach egg over a ginger shoyu dressing. The ginger shoyu dressing is a smart way to give it an umami soya sauce flavour while ridding off any fishiness from the salmon. Additionally, the delivery also comes with the SPRMRKT Breakfast Platter ($28) and Tiramisu ($12). The former is the classic big breakfast served in most cafes and this version comes with a choice of two eggs, mixed mushrooms, two pork sausages with one being a chorizo, bacon, confit tomato, fresh greens and toast. The latter is the perfect ending to a meal with a tiramisu that’s made using a vanilla sponge that is soaked in cold brew coffee with mascarpone and cream. To wash it all done, finish with a bottle of cold brew which has been sweetened with honey. During this period, if you wish to place a takeaway order, you can simply WhatsApp or call the respective SPRMRKT outlets in Dempsey Hill and Cluny Court before heading down to collect. For islandwide delivery, there is a delivery charge of $10. With just a few days left till 1 June, if you contact the outlets directly and place an order for takeaway or delivery, you get to enjoy a 15% off all ala carte items. •••••••••••••••••••• 📍SPRMRKT 8 Dempsey Hill, Unit 01-15A, Singapore 247696 https://e.sprmrkt.com.sg/

Buttermilk Pancakes Located on the 2nd floor of Cluny Court, the cafe itself was quite an open space concept. Savoury sides such as sausage, bacon stripes and tomatos that comes along with 3 pancakes with an fried egg on top. I would say the buttermilk pancake was really good because it’s fluffy and nice flavour of the butter and dairy.

Do you know the difference between a Jaffle and a Toastie? I guess a jaffle just has more Australian vibes in it🤣. Known for their specialty coffee, jaffles and dusty pink interiors, @amberembersg is a chic café located right in the middle of Serangoon and Kovan MRT stations. 。 👉Fowl Play - SGD15 roasted chicken thigh, ranch, mozzarella, pickled Japanese cucumber, parmigiano reggiano, salad with vinaigrette 👉Cheesus Loves You - SGD14 melted gruyere, emmental, mozzarella, caramelised onion, blue cheese, salad with vinaigrette 。 As a hardcore lover of cheese🧀, I took a liking to “Cheesus Loves You” immediately. Their winning combination of cheese was definitely worth a mention👍. But on the other hand, their “Fowl Play” jaffles was rather mediocre. 。 Check out their bio @amberembersg for pre-order and delivery🛵 link. For self pick-ups, you can enjoy a 20% off bill😄! John Lemon ($14) The buttermilk waffle was super crispy but I can’t exactly call it a waffle, it was almost like a softer version of a biscotti? It was not fluffy at all and pretty dry, so thank goodness for the ice cream which was weird bc it was cold with no vanilla bean flavour, but the combi was better than eating them separately. The thyme crumble and lemon curd w passion fruit purée were nice, but those were the only redeeming factors.

Fowl Play ($15) [Foreground] & Fun Guy ($14) [Background] These were decent, plus points for the cheese pull for both. But the bread was just white bread toasted till it was rather dry, which made it crispy but ended up tasted dehydrated. Fowl Play’s chicken wasn’t dry, and the ranch sauce wasn’t cloying! Pickle was extremely salty. I preferred Fun Guy. Their balsamic on rocket was good but the poached egg’s yolk was half runny half fully cooked :( Mushrooms (shiitake + shimeiji) were nice! I wouldn’t pay full price for these tho, and while the service staff were nice and attentive, the food took way too long to come.

Laksa Leaf Pesto Pasta ($25) 🍝 I am a sucker when it comes to fusion pastas. I've tried tom yam pastas and chili crab pastas before and it was a hit and miss. This time, it was a bit of a leap of faith to try this laksa pasta but I loved it! | The pasta had a mild laksa flavour without being too spicy. The fragrance of the laksa leaf really came through and blended well with the sauce's milkiness and the accompanying sambal beans. This dish really is something unique! | ®️: 9/10 for high prices higher than the surrounding restaurants in Ann Siang Hill.

PS Truffle Fries Truffles fries at PS Cafe is my one true love... What is good now is... Due to the large portion we always couldn't finish it... Now that they offer the ordering of half portion available helps us to not waste food and can order a variety to share as well ;)

PS Burger ($29) I heard mixed reviews about this dish and hesitated to order this. But with the option to upgrade to truffle fries with an addition of $5, I decided it was a good way to let me try their famed and loved fries without having to order the whole serving of it ($16). The truffle fries were so fragrant and crispy. Some restaurants' truffle fries smell like truffle and taste nothing like it. But there's no such thing here at PS cafe. The dish was accompanied by an aioli sauce which has a lemongrass fragrance to it, making it so addictive!! Now for the burger itself, the main star is the patty. There was no heavy tasting sauce or garnish to carry the dish. The meatyness of the patty and freshness of the beef were more than sufficient to make this burger one of my favourites at this price point.

Out Of This World- Pun Intended 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙪𝙨’ 𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙠𝙮 𝙒𝙖𝙮 (~$7) challenged my idea that bottled drinks are inferior. Coming in strong with a slightly sweet taste from the milk, I was enveloped with a nutty chocolately flavour soon after. This cold brew ended off with a bittersweet coffee note: perfection. ☕️ - Snagged the last bottle there that day, sure am feeling lucky 😂 Ig @goodfomood

Creamy Mushrooms on Toasted Sourdough ($15) + Scrambled Eggs ($3.20) I've wanted to try this for a long time but have always been put off by the purported queue and the relative inaccessibility for me. So I'm thankful to the circuit breaker that I can now have this delivered. Even taken away, it is absolutely amazing. The mushrooms have a beautiful bite, and are creamy and cheesy without being jelat. Eggs are firm and moist. And unlike many sourdough breads out there, this sourdough is proper sourdough, with the classic texture and taste of sourdough. Highly, highly recommended, even at this price point.

Creamy Mushroom On Toasted Sourdough With Scrambled Eggs & Smoked Salmon Benny I’ve been pretty impressed with all their other branches - Atlas Coffeehouse, Apollo Coffee bar & Lunar Coffee Brewers. This was the only cafe I’ve yet to try and I was really excited bcoz I heard really good reviews of their food. We thoroughly enjoyed the shimeji mushrooms on toasted sourdough, and the scrambled eggs ($19) we added on the side was perfectly creamy! We also ordered another brunch staple, the Smoked Salmon Benny ($19), which was great too. Of course we couldn’t leave here without having their coffee (the coffee at their other branches are consistently good!). We got the Iced Hazelnut Latte with ice-cream ($8) and my only gripe was that it was a bit too sweet. Overall, fantastic food and drinks just like their other branches & I would definitely return again :-)

Not Perfect But I'm Happy Honestly, I didn't expect much from the Angus Burger ($18.90+). That might have contributed to me being pleasantly surprised by it. A juicy 120g beef patty that is flavourful but NOT salty, sandwiched in between 2 fluffy buns. Sautéed onions that add caramelised sweetness. Mushrooms that give it that earthy flavour. & sliced cheese - which, anticlimactically, was quite basic but somehow it works. I happily chowed down on this; while it isn't the best burger ever, it delighted my tastebuds. However, I don't think I'd pay full price for this. But half price thanks to Eatigo via Shopback.... Surprising Steak The Premium Ribeye Steak ($18.90+) is a nice 200g slab that is fairly thin. Upon first glance, I was afraid it might be overcooked from the medium rare I requested for; but as I dug in, my fears were allayed. This is one of the rare times that I feel the sauce served with a steak is enjoyable. The pepper sauce isn't OVERLY peppery nor briney. I actually poured it over my steak before tucking in - very much a rarity. The steak, as with all mains, is served with a side of fries & mesclun salad. Pretty standard, nothing too fancy. Fries are on the oily side & could be crisper. I actually prefer the lightness of the mesclun salad to the fries! Another rarity! 💳 Accepts credit cards 🌬 Air-conditioned seats available ☀ Al fresco seats available 🖥 Accepts reservations - I used Eatigo via ShopBack 🙋🏻‍♀️ Service charge applicable 🚫 No GST
