🇸🇬 One of the last few Fu Zhou cuisine restaurant left in Singapore serving authentic dishes from cold crab to red wine chicken soup, made from red lees and fermented rice. Personally love this dish as it’s not easy to master the complexity of this dish. Famous Cold Crabs Lee Do is famous for its cold crab dish, which my cousin pre-ordered to ensure availability. Came with lots of roe for one to enjoy the fresh taste of the crabs as it is. A few other dishes like the ngoh hiang and stir fried liver that were alright but nothing to scream about. Would return only if I’m around the area as prices are reasonable and the place is spacious.
[CNY Reunion Menu] Steamed Cabbage with Scallop Sauce ($488++/10 pax). For a touch of tradition this CNY, Lee Do Restaurant is a traditional old school restaurant that serves very authentic Fuzhou food. It's helmed by 68 year old Mr Tang who's still cooking the dishes himself. 🔸 Pictured is their steamed cabbage, which is stewed till mushy, yet remaining silky. I think that gooey gravy further improved the texture. That hint of scallop added umami to the natural sweetness of the white cabbage, simple yet delicious.
