Pistachio & Ube They've lost their shop at the bus interchange and became a kiosk along the beach lol. Somehow the ice cream also lost the fancy dressing. They now look like plain flavours. Ube, which is purple yam, was more interesting. It has a nice yam tone without being overpowering. Pistachio was pistachio lor.

seafood paella ($98) this was the 4 pax portion at $98 but feeds 7 people comfortably especially when you order all the other sides. there’s prawns, scallops and squid

meat platter ($68) this meat platter consists of 2 different sausages, chicken, beef tenderloin and lamb ribs.

crispy baby squid ($24) squid had a crispy bite to it.

Cheese Burger This fast food chain isnt popular w Singaporeans and I think I found the reason why. We ordered the cheese burger set and it was a tad disappointing. The patty wasn’t as flavourful as we would like it to be and the cheese was too salty! Super friendly staff tho! They offered to deliver our food to our table even though they didn’t have to! Overall, Marrybrown is definitely not a competitor of more well-known fast food chains like mac & kfc hence not many would flock here. Taste: 6.5/10 Presentation: 7/10 Ambience: 6.5/10

Lucky Plate Had not have the chance to try of Marrybrown during my previous staycation at Sentosa considering they had just opened in the middle of my trip back then; finally got to check them out a couple of years later at their very first outpost in Singapore. The shop had since became a little run-down; perhaps more effort could be placed in maintaining the place in general, but the food was pretty on point nonetheless. Opted for the Lucky Plate which comes with soft bun, mash potatoes, coleslaw and two pieces of fried chicken; went for the spicy variant of the fried chicken this time round. The fried chicken is undoubtedly the star of the show here; getting a fresh batch of chicken that was just off the fryer, the fried chicken were crisp on the exterior, whilst tender and not too greasy while still being juicy and flavourful within — the batter carrying a slight hint of spiciness to tingle the taste buds. The other elements were all pretty average at best; the mash potato being decent but could do with a slightly denser, more flavourful brown sauce, while the coleslaw was rather fresh and provides a refreshing crunch though I personally would have preferred a creamier mix of sauce. The soft bun was also pretty alright; more of a burger bun served whole without being sliced apart; light and fluffy though perhaps not warm enough. Would not say much for the other items, but certainly would not mind to have the fried chicken again if there are more outlets in mainland Singapore — that being said, there is one situated at Wisma Geylang Serai that had opened several months ago; somewhere which I would most probably check out when the cravings hit again.

Lunch at #marrybrownsg ytd before webarebears because I was famished....ended up at marrybrown because Macs was too packed while the toast box had changed to a toast and curry place. This chicken burger was quite delicious and was gobbled all down by myself (but I have no idea whether it was just that delicious or I was really hungry). But changing to onion rings for an extra $1 was so not worth it. Look at the pathetic amount of onion rings! #burpple #burpplesg

Limited Edition: Matcha Nougat Have u seen or tasted the matcha version?? There's a peach and then the orange cousins but no, never have I eaten a matcha-flavored one. It's going underneath my molar now!! Yummo..

Cream puff 7nett The choux pastry had a hard crisp and cuts like cardboard. I like it, can't rlly rmb if it's exactly the same at the tanjong pagar outlet. However the filling is different. That was extremely milky but this was more custardy, there's a very strong sweetness and a prominent enough custard taste. Not too bad, but not as mindblowingly good as the tanjong pagar's one

Get The Soft Serve. Do It. Had a coffee soft serve and it was 100% worth the price tag. I think it was just under $10. Baristart coffee is already delicious, and this creamy and perfect soft serve delivers that and more.

Iced Hojicha Txpresso We wanted an ice-cold drink after walking all around the beach area and we settled on an iced hojicha Txpresso at Baristart! Sadly, the drink was overly milky to the point where the taste of the milk overshadowed the hojicha tea. While it would be a great drink for those who love milk, we wanted to taste more of the hojicha flavour. :( It didn't help that the drink became even more dilute as the ice started to melt. 😐 We would probably not get this drink again, or we may get the hot version!

Chicken Rice Sushi ($4.90) A classic Singaporean dish but with an unique Japanese twist . Slices of soya sauce chicken on top of neatly molded blocks of chicken rice and garlic bits, drizzled with teriyaki sauce and garnish of fried ginger, shallots, and spring onions . Their soya sauce chicken was really succulent. Overall the dish was good but there’s room for improvement as the blocks of chicken rice were a bit inconsistent in the texture. And also the rice to chicken ratio wasn’t really balanced . Nonetheless I believe the dish has the potential to be even better .

Yin Yang Chicken Rice Set (8.90) Wonderfully plated, with the chicken being delightfully soft & moist. Silky at its best. The soup, is wonderfully flavoured, I wasn’t expecting the sweet, winter melon soup. But definitely heavily laden with MSG. I have never felt so thirsty before, make that extremely thirsty! I drown myself with at least 2 bottles of water. It was THAT BAD. I felt like I was in a desert, dying of thirst. Would I go back again? NEVER.

Crispy Chicken Rice Balls ($4.90) @roostcafe Crispy Chicken Rice Balls ($4.90) usually sells out before dinner. Deep-fried bread crumbs encase a mashed rice and chicken stuffing that's flavoured with chicken stock. Its crunchy and light batter is a delightful contrast to its soft insides that aren't too dry. Dip these morsels into their house-made chilli sauce to highlight it with a spicy and sour tinge.

Bones ‘n Barrels Got the Margherita Pizza ($12) and the Teriyaki Chicken that came with rice ($10.80). Food was cheap but was pretty average, the pizza was okay and came with thin crust. The rice that came with the chicken was pretty dry. Would come back for the (rather cheap) drinks🍺 but not for the food🥴

Pan-Seared Salmon Steak This chunk of crispy salmon ($24) came with two sides; I chose broccoli and potato wedges with sour cream. I also had a glass of their house white wine ($12) to go with my fish. It took really long to come, like 35 minutes wait. The salmon was still hot with nice crispy skin when it arrived at my table. It was well-cooked with a nice pink center, but my only complaint is the strange saltiness on the skin of the salmon. It was as if one area of the salmon was seasoned and the rest, not. And the portion was kinda small. One advantage Bones 'n Barrels has is definitely the unbeatable ambience. The cooling night breeze, the white noise of the water swishing, it is really gorgeous and beautiful. They have live music and it really is super nice and peaceful to just chill and have great conversation. 6/10

Come For Cheap Alcohol, Not Food. No GST and svc charge, so why not a try. If you are a beer person, the $10nett in-house IPA and cheap alcohol is the draw. Fresh and hoppy. Skip the pizzas, felt like it’s a frozen pizza off the freezer of a supermarket. Come for drinks.

Greek Cuisine @ Blu Kouzina We tried some Greek cuisine today! What we had: + Paidakia, or grilled lamb chops + Kotopuolo Kalamaki, or chicken skewers, that comes with tzatziki (salted yogurt) + Hummus dip with pita Really enjoyed the food (especially the dips- hummus and tzatziki). We also got an indoor seat facing the sea. 🌊

Crispy Seared Salmon A food court concept of open air dining area, but they will allocate your seat and you make your order through QR scanning for the menu; and they will serve it to your table. Open only in the evening during weekday, while open late morning over the weekend. I came on weekend late morning and surprisingly it is totally empty, probably due to its location far from town. You still need to either board the shuttle bus, drive or taxi to reach here. Although there’s many tourists around the area and the beach side, but I guess they wasn’t aware of such dining area as well. For their menu, you can choose from getting the grilled foods, seafood, pasta, pizza, Asian cuisine, dessert and drink. My first time here decided to go for seafood, with their crispy seared salmon. Served with small portion of spiced quinoa and tomato salsa. The salmon is definitely up to the standard for the texture and taste. I enjoyed it pretty much. I would say it is a pretty chilling place to grab some food, and to gather with group of people here. At some nights they will host a outdoor screening here as well.

Deep-Fried Eggplant Dressed With Pork Floss I finally tried this relatively cheap Michelin-starred brand. Here they used much thinner slices of eggplant ie more batter, so it depends what you like, but I didn't. A lot more floss than other places, but I don't expect less from Putien.
