Average Western Fare Had the prawn aglio olio (~$25) abs the jazz burger (~$23) both tasted really average and nothing to shout about. Jazz burger was slightly drier and less oily than normal burgers (smth I liked bc I didn’t like oily burgers) but wedges were too stale and dry. Aglio olio was very garlicky and generous with the prawns but again didn’t stand out as compared to other aglios I had. 6.5/10

Okonomiyaki Flatbread Pizza ($25++) Knew I had to order it as soon as I saw it cause okonomiyaki on a pizza? Yes please! Though I preferred the mushroom & truffle pizza, this was definitely a good attempt at innovating new fusion dishes πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» Toppings were generous with the flatbread base holding baby octopus, cabbage and tomatoes, topped off with okonomiyaki and Japanese mayo sauce and bonito flakes! 🀀🀀 Though the flatbread base received mixed opinions around the table, I personally enjoyed their pizzas here, especially with eatigo’s 50% off. Service was also impeccable with constant water refills (even when our jug was only half empty) πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Carnivore Platter ($49++) Great for sharing among meat lovers! The platter came with half a rack of BBQ Baby Back Ribs, 4 Harry’s Signature Wings, sliced Italian Pork Chipotle, 5 sticks of Chicken Satay and a small mountain of Tandoori Chicken. Ribs were pretty tender with a good portion of fat, and we knew it when they didn’t serve the ribs with a steak knife cause the meat easily tore off the bones and was well flavoured 🀀🀀 A pity they were small and the meat wasn’t that much though. Chicken wings were every bit as crispy as a good Har Cheong Gai minus the prawn paste taste. Sausages were decent, satay was pretty eh and satay peanut sauce was a little too watery. Tandoori Chicken wasn’t the true Indian tandoori but seasoning was pretty alright. Overall, really value for money with eatigo’s 50% off and shoutout to the good service with constant water refills (even when our jug was only half empty) πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Lamb Shank Beautiful garden themed restaurant with a white carriage and swing for the perfect shot. Lunch menu served was pretty Asian fusion at affordable prices. Lamb shank was probably the most expensive item on menu. Slow cooked for hours such that meat tears off easily from the bone and fully infused with rendang flavors right to the core. A rather big portion that is good to share between the 2 with some additional orders of sides!

Squid Ink Risotto ($16.80) I was a tad apprehensive and skeptical of the food served at Blisshouse originally. The extensive ethereal, fairytale theme and design of the restaurant made me feel like they were trying to compensate for subpar food with a good aesthetic. I was completely wrong. The squid ink risotto is fragrant and buttery, the grains used were of a good texture and consistency. The overall dish held together nicely without running or splitting, and the subtle salty flavour of squid ink came through, despite the heavy butter taste. However, the calamari that topped the dish was your average, run of the mill calamari you can get anywhere. Not good, not bad, just.. okay.

Pretty, pretty, dreamy settings πŸ‘‰ click active link in bio to read all about Blisshouse @ Clarke Quay Central. Have a terrific Tuesday my dears πŸ’‹ Duck Confit (SGD$26.80) - was slow-cooked for 8 hours so meat was succulent beneath its crackling skin. Petit Salad, crispy Potato Wedges and maple mustard dressing added flavours and crunch to the dish, but what really stood out was the sunny side-up egg flanking the duck leg. I poked it and let its yolk sweeten out the saltish duck - lovely effect.

Killer Beef Sliders Besides being a fun place to get properly buzzed, this popular night spot in Clarke Quay is also home to a repertoire of delicious grub. No, this isn’t your typical spam fries and chicken wings sort of menu (although I’m pretty sure they have them too). In fact, I dare go as far as to say that their food rivals some established bistros. Their beef sliders are rock solid. β€˜Nuff said. The patties are cooked to a perfect medium rare and everything component just works so well together from the tanginess of the pickled gherkins, buttery-sweet brioche buns to the creamy melted cheese.

Smoked duck pizza πŸ¦† tasted just like PECKING DUCK because of the sweet sauce they used!
