There’s some famous roti canai place in Segamat, with one managed by a Chinese family in the morning. But for another one would be this place called the Roti Canai Anbalagan.

This place interestingly doesn’t open in the morning, they only open from late afternoon till late night. Which making it the perfect place for supper here in Segamat.

They used to be at another location before they recently moved to this shop. But it doesn’t stop the locals coming here at night.

Beside roti canai, they also have other foods such as Mee Goreng.

If you are visiting Segamat then you definitely want to get some souvenir back home to share with friends and family.

There’s a few famous bakeries in Segamat, and one of them would be this place called the SS Cake House.

Although the shop name may seems like they specialise with cakes, but they actually also housed a factory in-house making their signature snacks like this sesame puff.

Perfectly packaged to gift, share or just enjoying it on its own.

Everyone coming to Segamat should be very familiar with this place, as they considered one of the oldest coffee shop you can find here.

Nan Yang Coffee has such a long history that gained their popularity among the locals and visitors to the town.

The place would immediately filled with people as the shop just opened on weekends. People would come here to grab their breakfast.

You could expect all the local style of breakfast options here including the coffee, boiled egg, bread, noodle and nasi lemak.

This is definitely a must if you come to Segamat.

Available in a few options starting from the simple one, or go with additional ingredients. For mine, I gotten the mixed version of everything in one bowl.

I find it wasn’t too sweet actually, but still rich in taste.

Consider pretty hidden for their location but it doesn’t stop the locals from supporting this place.

It is located at this complex called the Sri Genuang Arked, which the locals know it commonly as the bowling centre.

If you never been here before and you probably lost finding where this food place located. It is actually on the second level, which you need to climb the stairs at where the outdoor toilet situated.

The soup was so tasty and sweet, which I understand that they have boiled it overnight to create the taste. The beef brisket is soft and chewy texture.

Finally made my trip to another town of Johor at Segamat, a few hours of train ride from JB Sentral.

Segamat has a few food places that have serving the locals for many years, including this breakfast place that sell noodle in the morning.

They open as early as 6am and you could already see people coming in to grab their breakfast. Popular for many items such as their fried chicken, beancurd and this spring roll.

Then complete your meal with a cup of coffee.
