This can’t go wrong - thicc, slimy slices of salmon laced over Japanese rice and glossed with mentaiko, seared and topped with generous portions of roe. We love this so, so much. It doesn’t come cheap but money is well paid for the fresh produce. Fishy-ness is a bane!
Slurrppps. It’s just pure seafood-y goodness on a plate. Urchin was incredibly smooth - the kind that glides down your throat! The roe were incredibly plump and literally ‘bust’ with flavour in your mouth. Ratio of rice-to-filling was balanced. Overly generous portion of rice is a no-no for sushis. I also appreciate how the seaweed was pretty good quality; ie. doesn’t feel ’stretchy’ or rubbery despite some time left on the table before we took the first bite! Served alongside palate-cleansing ginger and freshly grated wasabi!
Grilled lobster sizzled with mentaiko, cheese and a luscious bed of roe. Roe-lly satisfying seafood dinner, I must say
Is this food or is this dessert? The idea of pumpkin with roasted rice just presents itself as pumpkin rice to me…
The adventurous husband decided to go for the most ‘unique’ option on the menu and here we are, embracing ourselves with a queer, non-typical looking (and tasting) ice cream. Verdict? It was definitely a pleasant surprise, with smooth pumpkin puree atop pumpkin ice cream which was rather earthy in taste. The crispy rice accentuates the earthiness and added a layer of crunch. As for the mint leaf? Well, I think we could do without it.
i liked the salmon belly nigiri ($14/2pc) the most while my dad enjoyed the swordfish nigiri ($11/2pc)!!
we felt that we would have liked the bluefin tuna nigiri better if it was fattier as we ordered a lean cut😥 rice was okay
This is one of the chef’s recommendation. Somehow cod size is abit small now. Nonetheless, it’s still well cooked..
