Sen of Japan is a casual dining Japanese restaurant and bar. Our dishes are designed by Chef Nakano Hiromi, who used to head the famous NOBU at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. The meaning of ‘Sen’ in Japanese is fresh, we believe that the quality of each dish lies in the source of ingredients – ‘To be fresh’. Our curated menu aims to bring to the table the taste of Modernised Japanese cuisine combined with an intimate setting with spectacular views of the Singapore skyline.

Hamachi Kama ($36), theres a lot of meat in here! Value for money with the 1-1 promo

Ordered the Black Cod Soy ($36) and Hamachi Kama ($36) with the 1-1 promo! Worth the deal 👍🏻

(9/10) Not giving a 10 because of the price ($98) but wow the sashimi was soo thick and super fresh. You can almost taste a tinge of the sea while eating it. There were salmon belly, scallop, uni, tuna, swordfish and 2 others. All of them tasted so fresh. And no wonder the restaurant is called “Sen” because it means fresh in Japanese.

Ordered food:
3 pc oysters (with a special sauce)
Uni and truffle pasta (has burpple deal)
Michikiji steak (has burpple deal)
Salmon maki with avocado
14 pc sashimi (chef’s kiss)

Lobster Yaki - $42
Grilled lobster tail that’s topped with cheese and tobiko. Sweet savoury dish that’s great with rice! Love the tobiko popping every bite. Burpple beyond applicable, making the dish more affordable as well

The uni pasta looked damn good basking in the sunset glow, and tasted pretty good too. The cold pasta (didn't rly taste like pasta, maybe it's somen?) with truffle mushroom cream sauce was light and refreshing - neither the truffle or cream overwhelmed the other. The uni was really fresh and sweet, I've had underwhelming uni at other japanese places so this helped to redeem the rep of uni :-) It also came with sakura ebi, and bursting ikura. Portion is pretty small (kinda a starter size) but we we just happened to be not very hungry so it was fine.

We were blown away by this seared swordfish steak. I’ve never had fish like this before, it was very meaty and rightfully named - it’s the most “steak”-ish fish I tried. Super juicy, wonderful textures and flavours. It comes with a spicy shoyu glaze (not spicy tbh) and some asparagus and ginger garnish. It’s quite small though, so if you’re sharing it’s going to disappear quickly. Would definitely recommend this!! Plus it’s on burpple beyond so it’s even more affordable :)
