🦆 Sembawang Hills Hawker Centre’s Famous Eng Huat Duck Rice✨ served in their own flower / chicken old school plate and jn pure teochew style - the duck is done tender with the rich yet light herby sauce pairing and finally finish off with their signature sambal chilli (cannot miss this!). Can eat this all day but do eat it in the morning before the queue lengthens 😂

I tried Seng Huat Duck rice, the Braised Duck Rice Set.
The duck meat is tender, braised in light herb gravy and served with homemade chilli sauce.

heng we arrived early. the 20min queue was a small issue. if we came late and they were sold out, that would be the sad thing.

ordered a duck rice, add meat add egg. the serving was really value for money. due to the extra meat, ingredients were served on a separate plate. this image captured is for one serving. klthew has his own plate as well.

only white rice is served here which the braised sauce compliments perfectly. duck meat is tender and does not stick to your teeth. flavour of the braised sauce has seeped deeply into each and every piece of the duck and its a joy gobbling up this dish.

soup only has a slight herbal taste. i would say the chilli here is spicier compared to the usual sweeter ones i have elsewhere for duck rice.

cant believe i have been missing out on this gem since camping overnight at klthew's place since our poly days. better late than never i guess.

Apparently famous, but disappointing. Apart from generous duck and decent herbal soup, most braised duck stalls can match this.
