Finally getting our hands on the Legendary Luncheon breads! We got carried away with their wide variety of breads & Uncle keep shout โๅๆฅ๏ผๅๆฅ๏ผ ๅๆฅ!โ and we ended up, walking away with..... 10 breads nicely packed in a big box!!! OMG! I think we hadnโt ordered this much before, and somehow we feel so happy walking away with these breads! We got the flavours, Luncheon Meat, Chicken sausage, Curry & Tuna, and they are all reasonably priced cheap from $1 to $1.10. Bread were still slightly warm and they were super soft, fluffy and so fragrant! Itโs also not oily, and they were so generous in their ingredients too! Luncheon meat is thickly sliced and indeed itโs so irresistible, we couldnโt stop at 1 and immediately reach out for the 2nd bun! Itโs so hard to find cheap and good bread, and they taste so old-school, like those we ate in our younger days! Even when we ate the next day, the bread were still soft and yummy! โ

Stuffed coconut bun! I'm the odd one that prefers it not to be soaking with gula melaka/syrup, so this is perfect. However the bread was not as fluffy as I remembered (maybe it was a bad day).
This was such an amazing bun!!! I ate it on the spot and it was so warm and fluffy, with a generous filling of yam paste which remained enjoyable throughout, not straying into jelat territory at all. I also appreciated that it was not sweet at all, preserving the integrity of good orh nee. A bit expensive as compared to the other $1 buns sold, but well-worth in my opinion.
This might be one of my favourite banana cakes in Singapore! Itโs soft and spongy. Although I feel that the banana flavour could be stronger (I remember it too be more banana-y when I last had it in 2019), thereโs just something about this cake that I enjoy. Itโs not the best banana cake Iโve had, but itโs good enough!
I have a lot of backlog from my โfood adventuresโ at home but the first meal today was these buns from the famous Serangoon Garden Market hawker bakery stall.
At those prices it is almost a no-brainer why people leave with boxES of bread. These were nothing artisanal fancy but your honest hawkerโs keep that comforts. In particular the hot cross bun was a treat at a โpremiumโ with spices that reminded me of chai latte.
P.S: mind the CNY cushion weโve kept ๐
Got the usual luncheon meat bread. They are generous with their feeling and the bread is soft. Also tried their butter cake which is pretty decent without being too oily. It's not the dense buttery type but it's still good to eat if you prefer your butter cakes light and airy.
