I have to say, I'm aware a lot of people like this, and I find myself enjoying it too, but this isn't authentic.

The chili oil doesn't have much heat, the filling was sweet, and there's hardly any fragrance from the chili oil. It's very suited for the masses and not intense at all

I've had a few of their items so far and while everything is around the same standard, some dishes are more authentic than others, so pick wisely. Overall no reason to specially visit, it's pleasant but not a standout

A pretty good version. Thin skin, there's soup inside that's decent, with their signature sweet somewhat bouncy meat filling.

Could have had more oomph but this is very respectable alr, plus the waiting time is short once u order

The noodles were divine, thin with a great bite. The sauce is inauthentic tho, it's very sweet and lacks depth. It's still enjoyable though, just in a very basic way.

Choose something else if you're not here often

Filling was decent, not too strong and slightly sweet. The crisp was not bad but it's not as strong as it looks, nor does it last as long. Inside was quite hot at first but it cools down quickly. Vinegar was sharp but quite mild when you dunk the dumplings in, idk why either

Overall it's decent, and relatively well executed because there's not too many great places, but it's not top tier

This stall serves probably one of the best 红油抄手 in town. The dumpling skin are slippery thin and the filling is plump and juicy. What we ovr most about this dish is how the sauce is balanced between sweet, savoury, spicy and sour.

Fancy something to spice up your life? Shanghai La Mian XLB also serves a Sichuan dan dan mian which is a spicy version of their zhajiangmian.

I personally prefer the dan dan mian which has a nice subtle fiery kick with a slightly nutty flavour from the crushed peanuts. The noodles are great of course.
