Feature :
💕 Kibbe Krass ($16+).
Similar to a meatball, these stuffed croquettes with a filling of New Zealand lamb mince and toasted pine nuts.
This is my favourite among the rest, it’s tasty.
💕 Shish Tawook ($20+), a skewer of corn-fed chicken breast marinated in a spiced tomato sauce paired with pickled onions.
💕Lamb Kebab ($22+) – a combination New Zealand lamb mince with onions, parsley and a heady spice blend.
💕Duo Dips ($14+).
presents the pair of Baba Ghanouj – a roasted and smoky eggplant dip and Hummus – dubbed the queen of Arabic appetisers.
💕 Warak Enab ($14+) is a grape leaf wrap with a stuffing comprising rice and vegetables like onions, tomatoes, parsley, lemon and mint with a pomegranate sauce. It’s quite tangy.

The master behind Safiya by Shangri-La Singapore is Head Chef Ara Sayegh and the thoughtfully curated menu pays homage to chef’s homeland with dishes made with quality wholesome ingredients such as fresh vegetables and superfoods, alongside grilled meats that have been marinated with a unique blend of spices and herbs. You can now get a taste of an authentic Middle Eastern dining experience in the comfort of home starting with an array of mezzes, before moving onto the hearty mains and lastly, end with desserts.

In the mezzes section, there is the Duo Dips ($14+) of hummus (mashed chickpeas dip) and baba ghanouj (roasted eggplant dip), served with toasted pita bread and Warak Enab ($14+), a traditional Lebanese dish of grape leaf wrapped with a stuffing of rice and vegetables that is usually eaten on the Eid table at the end of Ramadan. An essential part of Middle Eastern cuisine is the Falafel ($15+) and Chef Ara’s rendition consists of seven different spices in the deep fried chickpea nugget.

For the mains, the menu has the Shish Tawook ($20+) of corn-fed chicken breast marinated in a spiced tomato sauce and served with pickled onions and Shekaf Lahme ($28+) of Australian Angus Wagyu beef cubes marinated with onions, spices, tomatoes and dried herbs before being charcoal-grilled. To end the meal proper, have a Meghil ($9+) or Baklava ($14+), the former a vegan Lebanese rice pudding with grated coconut and mixed nuts and the latter is the popular filo pastry dessert that has been soaked in sugar syrup and topped with roasted pistachios.

Besides ordering these dishes as ala carte orders, there are the set menus’ Feast for two ($48+) to four ($90+) that includes a choice of main with a cold and hot mezze, pita bread, dessert, pickles and Arabic rice. Orders for Safiya can be made via the link below, email to dining.sls@shangri-la.com or by phone 6213 4398.

You get 8 pieces of minis in a floral-themed beautiful baby blue tin box, with sweet blossoms across the top representing flourishing abundance.

The kaya is actually made in-house, the recipe created after months of research and countless tastings by Shangri-La’s Executive Chef Franco Brodini.

Each one is wrapped in an improved snow skin – light and delicate.

Inside, a white chocolate shell awaits to be discovered.

Quality bird’s nest is added within – also for beauty and health benefits.

Also look out of the the Kaya Truffle Snowskin, and Yuzu Sake Truffle Snowskin.
My vote will go to the Kaya with the local twist - which uses a special in-house recipe.

Served with KoHana rum inspired cocktails and started off with a splendid buffet of appetizers from alaska crab, kuahiwi beef carpaccio, shrimp with stuffed avocado. Family sharing mains were next on the menu with Hawaiian salted crust baked salmon with black rice risotto, unagi roulade with kabayaki sauce, kona coffee beef cheek, deep fried mullet with pineapple rice and grilled lobsters. Every main was prepared with precision and hits every facet of deliciousness. The meal ended off with our favourite lilikoi creme brûlée with a perfectly carmelized sugar top along with an array of other desserts. Along with the music playing in the background, this meal truly brings the Hawaiian mood closer to the heart of Singapore.
