When you are craving for something that is rich yet nutty which has the consistency of a peanut butter but a healthier option. Then you would turn to the Mediterranean cuisine for that thrill of having food with tons and tons of spices, textures and flavours!
Thank god to the food gods for bestowing us this amazing gift of Shawarma king that opens in Bangsar which is located the same row as Joy St gelato and you can have those healthy snacks for supper too!
Well it was a small little space but you can feel that you’re in marakesh with the colorful and carpet decorations.. We had the pleasure to try out their hummus!
It’s a traditional hummus (RM12.90) which comes in a small bowl served with olive oil and it is perfect for 1 alongside a piece of warm bread that resembles a tortilla.. The texture of this hummus is really silky, rich and creamy with a slight nutty texture! Love their chickpea dip and it was really well seasoned

A refreshing medley of chopped parsley, mint, bulgur, onion and tomatoes. Although not an avid parsley eater myself, I found this dish quite tasty! It’s seasoned well, providing a tart, lemony flavour underneath that overload of mildly bitter parsley. I still recommend sharing this between at least three people, as it isn’t a dish one can chomp through easily.

Nice, new little shack to grab a bite in Bangsar! The Shawarma King, their namesake, is a combination of lamb and chicken kebab meat that sees pronounced smoky flavours. The addition of parsley, peppers and a distinctly sweet, zesty sauce make it an enjoyable choice.

The thin yet overly chewy pita used to hold it all together however, fell short, doing its insides much less justice that they deserve.
