Since I was in the Bukit Gombak area, I decided to check out this reputable Hainanese chicken rice stall for lunch. You don’t have to queue and wait, you just tell them where you are seated when you are ordering and they will deliver the food to you. The chicken was really yummy! It was so smooth, juicy and tender, and it came with bean sprouts too! Wasn’t a fan of the rice though, it was not as fragrant as I would have liked. Overall, still a really good chicken rice place that I would visit again if I’m in the area. Heard their sesame chicken and roasted meats are good, will probably try those the next time.

Definitely a worth queuing Hainan chicken rice able to get in the West. Do go and order earlier to avoid long queue.

Probably the best in the West. Ordered Thai style beancurd, chicken feet, roasted chicken and steamed chicken. Cost about $23 for the three of us. Chicken meat was tender and placed on a bed of crunchy beansprouts. Homemade chilli with a hint of sourness.
Do note that they close early on weekdays!

Ordered the roast chicken, char siew and the recommended sesame chicken.

The first impression of the sesame chicken is dry and i'm also wondering does it taste too sesame. After my first bite it's like wow the chicken is not only tender, the skin is very crispy and the fragrance of the sesame isn't too overpowering. The texture of the roast chicken isn't as crispy as the sesame one. The char siew is not bad but i would prefer ordering their roast pork which is very crispy.

$5 for char siew
Total price: $17.20
