Other than carrying a local twist to their range of burgers, Shiok Ave also served some classic items like the Double Cheese (S$9.00) which was served with charcoal buns. Visually, it might not turn out as majestic as their signature “So Shiok!” burger, but it was really filling enough for me.

The beef patties were quite thick, but I thought that the meat was a little over-minced, so the texture could differ bit from ground beef. Apart from that, the patty was also a tad salty. I was not certain how easy they could go with the salt usage, but if that could not be regulated, I would say the best solution would be to get an upgrade (S$3.00) which would include a canned drink and fries or chicken tenders. If you were trying this for the first time, remind the staff to serve the fries without salt... you would need it.

Lastly, seats would be very limited at the basement food hall, so it would be best to secure a seat before proceeding to order.

When I saw that they got salted egg yolk and satay burgers, I immediately knew I need to get my hands on their offerings. We got the set meal which included fries and drinks.

The burgers are quite disappointing. The salted egg yolk burger was too salty and does not go well with the patty. The satay burger fared slightly better: the satay peanut gravy made the whole dish sweet and savoury simultaneously.

Not sure if I will patronise the stall again because of this not-so-pleasant experience.

If you want a hearty fast food and move away from the bandwagon, this is where it will make you come back for more. Calories all worth it.

Both the Chef and other customers were staring while I devour this monster. Sandwiched between the charcoal buns were four thick juicy patties which had the thickness of a Quarter Pounder patty each. Though cooked well-done, the patties were still flavourful. The additional banana fritters and drink comes at $3. Banana fritters were kind of greasy so do take note.

Even with Burpple beyond, I wouldn't waste calories on this! Tried both the salted egg chicken and shiok burger and both were really salty. Credits for the generous portions of meat, but the salt levels left these inedible

The menu looked basic AF but boy were we wrong! The So Shiok Burger was super succulent. Cannot judge a book by its cover. Boss was Super friendly and patient when we asked him to list out all the ingredients in the So Shiok Burger.
