Dumpling Noodles 水饺面 ($4)
One of the better dumpling noodles stalls in the Tiong Bahru region. The dumplings are filled with delicious meat & prawns. A friend says the noodles could be more Q, but it is good enough for me.
Both dry & wet versions are delicious - I can see myself ordering this often 👍 😜
#BurppleMajulahMakan
From the abovementioned stall at Beo Crescent Food Centre. Heard they used to sell their Wanton Mee at $2.50/$3 portions but they have since increased the price to $3/$4. Went slightly late even though it was still lunch hours but there was a small queue as compared to the other stalls and I could see why. Their noodles were springy, tossed in the right amount of sauce that makes it real slurpy and easy to eat; opt for the chili for moderate heat to shake things up a bit. Char Siew was surprisingly good for a non roast oriented stall; savoury and tender slices of lean meat that is chunky with a little charred flavour. Wantons were of a considerable size, with skin that is smooth yet doesn't break easily. Easily one of my favourite wanton Mee around now!
