Items: Pork belly, sliced pork, chicken, liver, prawn, clams, fish ball, crab meat, egg tofu, Chinese cabbage, xiao baicai, golden mushroom, egg, vermicelli and instant noodles.

Add on items available: noodles ($2), veggies ($4), meat ($6), seafood ($6), beef ($8), pork belly ($8), cheese dip ($3). Each delivery set includes mookata pot, mookata stove, soup and 4 types of chilli. Delivery charge of $10 applies. (Pot and stove will be collected at the end of the meal.) If you're used to being ripped off at Golden mile (me), then Siam Square mookata is dirt cheap in comparison. Plates start from $1.80 with seafood going at around $3-4 per plate. Buffet also available at $29 per pax. No GST or service charge. Chili is self serve and arranged according to spiciness. Spent $30.50 for 2 adults and 1 child.

With a well-curated selection of the usual staples at $1.80 per item/plate (meats included!), and slightly pricier items such as scallops, oysters and smoked duck at $2.80 per item/plate, join the throng of voracious supper seekers feasting at Siam Kitchen. Big eaters can opt for the buffet option ($29 per person) instead and throw any notions of self-restraint out of the window. Even though it’s located in a hawker centre, service is surprisingly forthcoming and efficient. They make their own chilli sauces but they don’t use charcoal — a small compromise considering the price. Siam Square Mookata currently has seven outlets, a true testament to their popularity.

Have never tried Thai-style BBQ steamboat before this - hot pan surrounded by a shallow tray of soup, interesting. Simple hawker fare @ S$1.80 per plate/item.
