4⭐ Utilising the last $50 voucher which I bought at 40% discount previously. We ordered a noodle and a meat dish. The diced beef with sliced garlic is almost as good as the one we had at Cherry Garden except that Si Chuan Dou Hua beef cut has more tendon. The beef is so tender that I don't feel that I'm eating beef. The crispy noodle has quite a lot of ingredients but I don't know why I always feel hungry very fast after eating 生面. 🤷🏻‍♀️

On the pricy side, though the soy sauce is very balanced. I didn't notice it on the menu so I'm not sure if u have to ask for it.

Nonetheless, first time trying and I didn't know it comes without the chili oil. Do ask for the chili oil

Fragrant from the fried beans, and the 榨菜pickled mustard.

It's easy to love if you come with an open mind and treat it as a tofu dish, instead of a sweet beancurd dish

Really good dumplings, there's prawns mixed in for the bounce and umami, and the filling was seasoned perfectly(I don't like it when one of the elements ginger/wine etc is too strong)

Sauce was mild but enjoyable. It won't be as shiok as u hope, but still good enough to order despite the toned down flavours, simply due to the execution

PS as u can tell they v considerate, they split the portions for you alr for both the chaoshou and the xlbs

Tbh we came here only because during CB they gave us a 20dollar voucher w the delivery. It was a great marketing decision as we spent a lot more than that on our second trip. Take note both UOB outlet and park royal outlet can use the physical voucher

The best xlb I've had in the past year. The meat was ok, I liked that the skin wasnt too thin such that it broke easily(dining partner mentioned that DTF has thinner skin). Filling was ok but the highlight was the broth. That's quintessential. The exact flavour of broth that I remembered from some of the best shanghainese xlb I've had.

I don't usually do this but, I GOT ANOTHER TRIO JUST FOR MYSELF. Shld be obvious how much I like it

Really mild, the flavour was decent with predominantly sweet notes. Ofc pork was of good quality, but don't order this if you were expecting a strong garlic punch

Only when I tasted it did I remember that I've had this before. What a blunder
