favs were the GRILLED BEEF ($1.20/stick), GRILLED POTATO ($2.20/3 sticks), GRILLED ENOKI ($3.20/portion)

had a mochi-mochi texture but a little bland so best dipped in condensed milk!

my spice tolerance is good but damn this really humbled me LOL

this is amazing please get it

We were pleasantly surprised at the crowd in this restaurant, which is a good indication that it serves really good food.

Their 辣子鸡 in the menu had three chilies rating which we were prepared for the avalanche of heat coming our way and this was painfully addictive. In many places selling this spicy diced chicken dish, the dried chilies and peppercorns usually make up most of the ingredients but this time round, there is a good ratio of chicken meat and chicken skin in it, which to me is really value-for-money. Every single table here had ordered lots of their BBQ skewers and that is what we did as well, with the restaurant having a good variety of meat, seafood, mushroom, and other ingredients that they will skewer and grill. As with all Chinese skewers, do expect a whole load of spices being sprinkled onto it like salt, pepper, cumin, and fennel. There are so many other dishes in the menu that we will want to try and we will definitely return in the future.

Spiciness: 🌶 🌶🌶

Nestled in the heart of Chinatown, Sichuan Village serves up your classic szechuan dishes as well as skewers! The best part, they open till late (3am)!

A must have would include the spicy chicken 辣子鸡 as that sorta sets the benchmark for a good Szechuan store.

Oh boy were we in for a ride. If you're a fan of spice, you have to try this!! Although it looks fairly harmless, the spiciness hits you, till you get a tad bit dizzy, but after that when you settle back down, you realise how fragrant & addictive these tiny bites are & you go back again, only to realise that you're starting to get droplets of perspiration trickling off your forehead.

But fear not as you have your trusty ice cold beer 雪花 on the side to wash down all the spice & for you to put yourself through that "joy" again.
