Opened early this year, Sid Burger specialises in hand-crafted burgers and offers a whole range of craft beers. If you don’t take beef like myself, you can top up to swap to their impossible patties.

Their signature burger, the Sid Burger had quite a lot going on - cheddar cheese, BBQ shredded pork, jalapeño relish, apple coleslaw, pickled red onions and sriracha mayo. For this we swapped the beef patty to an impossible patty. It was smoky and flavorful, with a variety of textures, though I’d also personally prefer a slightly softer bun in contrast. It was still a tasty one with all the different ‘loud’ flavours coming pretty well together.

Thank you @sidburgersg for the kind invite! ✨

The deep fried chicken thigh was a tad bit dry for us, but if you’re looking for something with a punchy sauce, they use a mix of blue cheese sauce and Buffalo wing sauce for that extra heat! Similarly, would have liked a tad bit softer bun for the contrast.

The onions themselves were of a generous cut, but a pity that the batter was too thick and doughy. It unfortunately overpowered the flavour of the onions.

𝐁𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 (3 ⭐️; $9) - Fragrant and thick slices of red onions encased in a crisp and airy batter, paired with hearty ketchup and addictive sriracha mayo. However, personally found the batter on the thicker side such that it overpowered the onions and made this taste more like mini savory donuts.

I’m not a huge fan of beers in general but this was an easy to drink one! It’s one of the range of Korean craft beers that Sid Burger has. It was lightly sweet with a bit of that delightful fruitiness at the back, pairing well with the burgers.

𝐒𝐢𝐝 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐫 (4 ⭐️; $15) with impossible patty (+$3) - Classic bbq burger done well! Was highly impressed by the grill on the patty that allowed for elements of smoky crusty exterior while retaining some some juiciness. The flavourful bbq marination made it near impossible (😉) to distinguish this from regular beef. Paired with jelapeno relish, apple coleslaw, pickled red onions, and sriracha mayo for that satisfying bite.
