I hadn't been back to this neighbourhood legend for a while, I went for medium size, and I wanted to say it's so good and I missed it blah blah. Until I realised one of the reasons it's so sumptuous was it's wet, but wait, isn't Simon Road Hokkien mee famous for being stir-fried dry? Is that a clue this is not the legit successor? One thing fitted the brand: the free-flow lard. Regardless, the Hokkien mee was really top quality. Everything was on point, including two shiok chilli sauces.

6.5/10 Clean tasting. Lime is very light. Nothing fantastic. Maybe tabao-ing might taste much better.
I really want to love this after seeing so many raving reviews but unfortunately my plate of Hokkien mee was watery and salty. :(
Won’t be returning.
This famous Hokkien Mee didn't disappoint. The yellow noodle and bee hoon had soaked up the tasty stock that was full of flavour. Mixed in some of their homemade bright orangey red chilli sambal for the added spicy kick and shiok-ness.
Simon Road Hokkien Mee has rolled out contactless islandwide delivery for the convenience of customers.
The noodles get its flavours from a combination of prawn heads and pork ribs, fried until very dry so that the noodles and bee hoon absorb the tasty stock.
Also love the spicy sambal chill.
The Hokkien Mee is priced at $5, $6, $8, $10, and $12.

But I still enjoyed this yummy plate of goodness. Every strand was soaked with the flavorful broth. Especially love the self-service crispy pork lard (猪油渣)😋 Only ‘complaint’ though was: why $4 portion so small 😜
