Store #01-25 black carrot cake - slight char and good amount for $4, but too sweet for my liking

Featuring their palm-sized chicken leg, basmati rice, green chilli sauce, sambal chilli and cucumbers. Note that if you takeaway, you don’t get any keropok and soup.

Really SEDAP😋. I can imagine it to be even better if I eat it there on the spot. Spice lovers will definitely enjoy this!

The famous green chilli chicken rice at Sims Drive Hawker which got Popular in Year 2020 after circuit breaker period!🐤🐥

Perpetual long queues at this stall! Was lucky that there was only a short queue of 5 ppl on Xmas Eve day ✌🏻

Was very intrigued by how this would taste like. It turned out to be quite spicy for me even though it was green and not red chilli. The grilled chicken is very well marinated and I liked how big the chicken leg portion was! Rice wasn't the typical Hainanese style chicken rice but more of the coconuty flavoured rice taste.

Note: no crispy keropok is given if you takeaway the order

I will say do try this at least once in your life! I'm just curious why there are no other stalls in Singapore replicating this same dish yet.

Their signage mentioned they started this since 1999, and by looking at the long queue after they open at 10:30am, they definitely have walked this far to attract so many people to support.

Interesting they used basmati rice with super delicious and soft chicken, topped with their signature green chilli for $5.

A savoury plate of hokkien prawn mee that comes with a mixture of yellow noodles, bee hoon, eggs braised in flavourful prawn broth and accompanied with prawns, squid, pork belly, pork lard, sambal chili and lime. Not the best but good enough to satisfy my cravings.

The amount of sweet sauce for the black one is just nice, not too little, not too much. It's slightly charred, giving it different layers of texture. The ratio of egg to the radish cubes is also perfect and more importantly, the serving of chye poh is generous. It also doesn't feel overly greasy and oily too, so you don't get jelak after eating it.
