Fragrant and good bak kut teh. Other dishes are simple but pretty good too, like sesame chicken, tofu, ngo hiang. Unless you live in the neighbourhood or in eastern Singapore, it’s not worth busing or driving all the way out here. There are plenty of equally good or even better BKT joints all over Singapore.

Supposesly famous, but I felt this was just about average. The broth is both herbal and peppery at the same time, not sure whether it is intentional, it also seems that whenever the broth was refilled it would taste slightly different. There was quite a substantial amount of meat and other ingredients, but not exceptionally tasty.

Heard their bak ku teh is the malaysian version with herbal taste. Was a bit disappointed - despite the colour which is pretty dark, you cannot really taste much of the herbal taste and it smells pretty peppery. Feel like its a mix of both. The paste prawn chicken wing is really juicy and crispy here.

This was quite the hidden gem! With the large succulent sweet prawns in boisterous herbal soup 😋👌🏻👌🏻
