$4 for this big bowl of meehoonkueh (that appears hand cut and not from the factory) with copious amounts of minced and sliced pork, spinach and 2 prawns. The fried onion is crispy and soup not too salty. Can’t wait to go back and try their dried version which now seems promising!

The stall starts selling them only at noon, yet when I arrived at 12.20pm yesterday, the fish heads were all accounted for. Had to turn up at 11.45am for this! The lady used to start selling this dish at 10.30am when the stall opens, but I suppose they've adjusted the timing to give the working crowd some fighting chance against the ah peks and ah mas. I really love the peppery and slightly vegetal quality of the soup here, but more importantly, the batang fish they use is meatier and cut thicker for more oomph than the usual toman. =D
PS. On the teh-o and calamansi-derived iced lemon tea side of things, I'm pleased to report that the grouchy drink stall auntie smiles at me and will comment "很久没有来hor?" if I miss a week. *beams*
