Deep fried housemade bun filled with braised soy lamb, pickles and yoghurt. RM21 per serving.

Crispy dehydrated seaweed sandwich with grilled Unagi, slices of Granny Smith, a hint of ginger. It’s pretty interesting combination. RM24 per serving.

An Asian influence beetroot salad with mixed greens, smoke beancurd, pickled carrots in a nutty vinaigrette dressing. The cured beetroot some how tasted more acidic than expected but overall was quite refreshing. RM30 per serving.

If you’re looking for a cosy and intimate spot, Sitka is the place to be. The creative menu here focuses on small, sharing plates built around local flavours with modern cooking techniques – think dumplings, baos and pasta dishes! Finish off with a beer, cocktail, or a glass from their great natural wine selection.

I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to come to Sitka. I want to now make it a point to come here every time I’m back in town. I especially loved the charred cabbage with seaweed butter & ikura and half didn’t want to share. Also loved the lamb ragu (RM32) and smoked unagi in seaweed crackers (RM21). I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.

Simple but oh so delicious egg noodles. Every strand shimmers with the mildly spicy, umami oil, with a dollop of spring onions and XO sauce on top. A tad pricey for plain dish, but for a guaranteed good, no-frills noodles, I’d be happy to fork out the dough!
