Love this so much that after wolfing down e whole burger, I was sad that it’s finished lol…esp love e crunch from e cheese skirt, looks so pretty as well 😄

This is $1.60. You need to buy min 2 pieces. I like the wings too. It looks Chao ta but It is not. Cripsy and tasty.

I like the dirt fries. Value for money at $4. Generous portion of fries with cheese and mayo.

Amidst the stalls selling the classic hawker fare, it was surprising to see a burger “stand” selling some gourmet burgers alongside the roasted meats and whatnot.

What appealed to me was their fish burger, otherwise known as Fish Crisp with Tropical Salsa (S$5.80), which came with a whole fillet that was almost double the size of the buns, together with some of their homemade salsa that tasted refreshing and tangy. It tasted fairly decent, and was made perfect after a S$2.00 top-up for a combo, which came with two additional sides. It was quite obvious actually that the ideal choice were the fries and the soup. By the way, croutons come free with the soup and was self-service, but I would not think that it was nice to cover the surface of the soup bowl with croutons, right?

The set comes with cajun fries and a soup, which was cream of mushroom the day I visited. I appreciated the large portions and variety of different foods to alternate bites from as flavours are rather heavy here. The cheese skirt was fun to peel off and eat, but it got a bit too much and too salty after a while. The beef patty was nice and juicy, though, and the cajun fries were the perfect snack. The cream of mushroom soup was not as impressive, but it did come with a free flow of croutons.

I had the fish crisp with tropical salsa burger which seemed to be an interesting and refreshing combination. Gotta say I enjoyed it quite a bit! Sandwiched between the 2 (again disappointing) buns were some iceberg lettuce, a size-able crispy breaded dory fillet and of course the tropical salsa, made with diced mango, bell peppers and raw onions. The tangy tropical salsa was a star that cut some grease from the deep fried fillet and I particularly enjoyed the sweet diced mango, although the sharp pungency of the raw onions was slightly offensive. As a whole, the burger was pretty delicious but more of the salsa would have been appreciated.

I chose soup of the day, which was a creamy pumpkin soup topped with croutons, and the Cajun fries as my 2 sides for the set meal. Fries was soggy, but the spicy Cajun made them slightly more appetizing.
