From the Burpple community

Known for their DIY pancake experience, check out this parlour in Dhoby Ghaut for brunch with the kids. They'll love the hands-on action — whipping up pancakes in different shapes and sizes. Go with either the buttermilk or chocolate Batter ($8.50) and then decide on toppings, like sweet Chocolate Chips ($1.50) or savoury Crispy Bacon ($2). To keep tummies from rumbling as the DIY goes down, order the tasty Country Chicken ($14) to munch on.

Whole grain pancake with creamed spinach, duck rilette (sandwiched in between) and two sunny side ups. This was v filling and I was pleasantly surprised given the bad reviews on burpple. Altogether a relatively healthy choice amongst the sinful picks at slappy cakes.

shared this with a couple of my friends a while ago! unfortunately i really wasn’t a fan of this and i didn’t finish the waffle even though i only took a quarter )-: i think the best part of this dish was..... the salad. i just really didn’t like the taste of the waffle batter, i don’t know whether it’s because it was made to be savoury but it tasted strangely salty?? it’s my first time having a savoury waffle though so maybe it’s like this for all. the eggs didn’t have a very good texture overall, and the ham/cheese wasn’t very impressionable. i think i’ll stick to the diy pancakes the next time i come!

DIY Okonomiyaki at @slappycakessg at @plazasingapura. Our own creation turned out pretty ok!

Super appreciate the quick service and nice environment but $12+ for this? Did they run out of pasta!?

I think this place is only good for their pancakes.
