Snowflake added the Chokanan Mango series of desserts to their menu. These mangoes from Perak added a fruity touch to the already popular dessert chain.

And their Mango Sensation (RM16.10) was quite sensational. Mango cubes, tapioca pearls, signature Taroballs and Ai-yu jelly surrounds the bed of plain shaved ice. Too plain? Nope, because they also gave a generous portion of mango sauce. Providing that scoop of soy ice cream on the top was somewhat negligible though, because it did not bring out any flavours to the bowl, unlike other items in the menu.

It was a good item for a change from their signature desserts.

I remember when people would que long long for this. With more and more cafes sprouting like mushrooms in KL, Snowflake has passed its prime time. However, I still think they are good and I would always have a bowl all to myself whenever I am around the corner. Matcha Ryo is a classic Matcha shaved ice dessert with red bean toppings, fun-to-chew bouncy taro and peanuts for added texture. The chilling effect is perfect for cooling down.

Fresh mango served three ways: fresh, sorbet, and purée, atop freshly shaved ice, its signature 10 treasures herbal black grass jelly and taro balls. Perfect for this weather! #GourmetAdventuresInKL

Cooling off with ice cold desserts! Boiled for eight hours, this 10 treasures herbal black grass jelly is delightfully smooth, gliding down the throat effortlessly. Love how chewy these fresh taro balls are – anything chewy [like mochi] just gets us! #GourmeAdventuresInKL

Look at all the dessert! The top left is called the grass jelly and taro balls. It was good i love the taro balls. Something different. The top right is called the soya ice series. It has way to much soya , made me sick. The bottom one is called the sea amber jelly, it was my favorite. Each portion cost around RM 6. The portion was to big, cause you can't really finish all. They should make it half portion instead, well just saying.

Simple yet satisfying for after-meal dessert.
