Breakfast for today - B2 menu ($5) which includes macaroni soup with ham, fried egg, bread with butter and cold luo hanguo. Shiok ah, especially when you dip the soft fluffy bread into the macaroni soup. Macaroni soup is good too. Come here if you are around the area, you won't be disappointed! The fish belly porridge my friend tried was also very appetising and the youtiao bits were crunchy with generous portion of the fish. The fish was also special in a way as it was slightly panfried. Only minus point was there were bones in the fish. Otherwise, it is better than all the stores out there.

Came here for their breakfast set, and its v worth it as it comprises of the classic creamy ham macoroni soup, fried egg, butter sandwich and a drink of your choice (i got soy milk). All these for just $5!! Enjoyed the macoroni a lot - especially after seeing so many pictures of this dish taken in HK.

Extremely filling and the place is spacious as well. I also love the bakery, with my favourite being the crisp Napoleon cake! Will come back for more brunch, egg tarts and that.

This place is slightly ulu for those not living around, if you're coming by public transport, you will have to take a bus from bishan/marymount

Besides some Dim Sum selections, their menu offered typical HK dishes such as congee, roasted meat noodles, Cheong Fun and the iconic 公仔麵 (instant noodles with luncheon meant and egg). We had their 出前一丁 instant noodles, century egg congee and beef brisket Cheong Fun. They were pretty good, especially the first two, simple but tasty. Worthy to mention also was their glutinous rice in lotus leaf which was flavourful.
Inclusive of a drink for their set, their pricing was quite reasonable compared to other 茶餐廳 in SG. The one thing unlike that in HK is that you won’t have to squeeze into cramped seatings at this place is spacious, aircon-ed and comfortable. Overall, quite a good stop for HK cafe food, except driving will be necessary for its location.

This pretty legit 茶餐厅 is located in the ulu area of Midview City, but is worth a detour into if you have a car. Even the staff speak Cantonese! Most customers order individual rice/congee/noodle dishes, but we went with plain noodles and orders of vegetables, beef brisket (suuuperbly tender), pork trotters, and half a concubine chicken (a little salty but still sogoooood).

This combination - Fried Vermicelli with Char Siew and Century Egg & Lean Meat Congee - is just one of the breakfast sets on offer. The former is small in portion, but the beehoon is moist and very tasty. In contrast, the latter, though silky, is very mild-tasting. I'd also prefer the pork to come in thick slices instead of thin shreds.

Don't worry if you missed the breakfast slot, you can get them at ala carte prices of $2.80 and $5.80 too.

An off-menu item, this dish came with ultra tender chicken chunks and savoury Chinese sausages on a bed of fluffy rice. The condiments - a dark soy sauce & oil mix and pounded spring onions - are served separate, and they're definitely the components that complete this dish. It may, once again, be too salty for some, but it was delightfully salty for me and I actually enjoyed this a lot.
