Super long time since i last ate at songfa bak kuk teh! Opted for this as it was the more affordable food option at Jewel and something that we were craving for. Comfort food for rainy weather! It used to be my weekday work lunch meal at novena and clarke quay, eating it almost once every 2-3 weeks!

Favourite orders here are the sliced fish ($8.80) and slices pork ($7.80) with a side of youtiao (small portions $2)!

Finding the sliced meat and fish portion lesser than previous visits though!

If you looking for some side dishes to go along with your bak kut teh here but couldn’t decide, this platter is worth getting.

Coming with braised beancurd (tau kwa), groundnuts and braised egg. $4.20++

Seriously this is actually my first time having Song Fa’s bak kut teh, partly because in the past they used to be long of people especially the tourists.

But now because of the pandemic, it is much easy to enjoy the food here without queuing anymore.

Gotten their signature pork ribs soup plus stomach. The peppery soup was addictive as I keep refilling it. $9.50++

I usually love it but this experience was pretty meh. No real reason why I wasn't feeling it. It was just ... zzzzzzzzz. ⠀
Hopefully my next experience will be a better one.song

Yummy. Service was good. The sesame chicken were amazing. Total to about 30$ for 2 but oh so good

I’m a big fan of the peppery soup version, and Song Fa definitely hits all the right spots! The pork rib soup ($7.60++, small) had 3 pieces, each with tender meat and not too fatty. Best part is that the restaurant offers unlimited refills, which definitely satisfies all your cravings! The spicy pork belly ($8.30++) was thinly sliced and served with a thick gravy, ladies finger and dried chilli! Loved that it came in a claypot and that it packed a punch. Lastly, the xiao bai cai ($6.20++, medium) exceeded our expectations both in taste and portion.
