If you are lucky, there’s probably only a few people in the queue, but if you are there during their peak hours, be prepared to wait in line as each plate is made-to-order. A myriad of ingredients go into making this plate from the youtiao, cucumber, white radish and pineapple to the sauce mixture that includes prawn paste, peanut, sugar and torched ginger flower that coats everything evenly. There’s even cuttlefish added into it for the texture before the finishing touch of the staff generously scooping up spoonfuls of peanut to cover the rojak. An absolute divine of a dish and representation of our culture.

Greeted by the long winding queue as usual. We initially wanted to order the medium size but man were we glad we changed our minds and ordered the small size instead! The portion was massive for the price! After tasting it, we fully understood why there’s always a queue at the stall. It’s so darn good.

Love the addition of jellyfish into the peanuty mix. Uncle was extremely generous with his peanut as always. The queue is still endlessly long, as with pre-covid days. Standard remains and is in fact, guaranteed good cos Uncle’s the only one prepping the food. ‘Because auntie can only collect $$$ (no crossing over of duties or food handling!)

Rojak (S$6.50/ large)
Fried dough fritter, pineapple, bean sprouts, Kang Kong, cucumber, turnip, Rojak flower and jelly fish mixed in tangy sweet sauce, chilli sauce (optional) and chopped peanuts

Long queue but fast.
Can’t help but wondering about the Aunty queuing behind’s order - S$4.50 Rojak without Youtiao. Sounded weird. Isn’t youtiao the best part?

Popular stall.

Queues are not as long as before

Must try

We dabaoed this because we thought we weren’t gonna be able to finish this on top of the other stuff we had ordered but we were so wrong... This was TOO GOOD to not finish ASAP!!! Beyond just being sweet, the rojak sauce had the distinct shrimp paste taste that made it stand out from the regular rojaks around. It’s no wonder that there’s usually a long queue (they even set up some barricades to facilitate the queuing) but I was lucky to have been there in the late morning and there was no queue.
