A popular place among working class. Sting ray was well grilled of course, coming from a BBQ stall. Black pepper chicken was okay. Thought that it was a little pricey at $8.
Enjoyed my favorite dish. Stingray upsize plus chicken wings. Had a whole chunk of chilli which was quite spicy and I had to gulp down a can of Mug Root Beer which didn’t really help lolol. Chicken wings were well-fried and very tasty
This popular zi char spot has been around for as long as i can remember, and besides their zi char dishes which are good for sharing, they do individual set meals too.
I would recommend going for their sambal stingray or sambal sotong sets; each set comes with rice and egg. Yummy & value for money!
Came here at a friend’s recommendation and boy was I not disappointed. This power combo of sambal sotong and stingray was fantastic. The stingray was utterly tender while the sotong was chewy and the sambal was spicy yet sweet. Would definitely come back again!
BBQ Stingray in Sambal Sauce
2. Chilli Crab + buns (!)
3. I forgot. Veggies and soup 😅
All yummy! Had to walk it off so as not to feel guilty about feasting 😝 It feels good to share great food with great friends. 😊

A #singapore delicacy of taking a limp and bland vegetable to a kick-ass homemade Chilli paste; fry them together and let the explosion of textures and tastes take its course. The one here at MacPherson eating house (south bridge road, 34) is the bomb. Biting into the stem of the Kang Kong, let the tasty sambal invade your senses and slowly slide down your throat. Very, very awesome. #burpple #burpplesg #thegrowingbelly #singapore #sambalkangkong #noodleeats
