We ordered for 2 Pax ($12) for signature braised duck and also other dishes such as braised egg, beancurd, beancurd skin and peanut set ($4). I felt that the duck gravy was not bad, got strong braised taste for duck and also duck meat is not that hard and soft. Other dishes was quite normal and average taste for there. My colleagues she was recommended me for their yam rice ($1.20) instead of other choice such as white rice or porridge. Yam rice was really strong fragrant taste and also no wonder she wanted to order it.

They finally have a shop space of their own with simple white walls and non-elaborated furnishings. If you are looking for some Instagram worthy decorations, I'm afraid there aren't any but if you are here for their food, you are sure to bring back with a satisfying tummy.

The braised duck was savoury just like the way we like it. The starchy braised sauce was rich enough to give a good flavour to the plate of meat. To add on, the meat was tender and soft

There are a few signature Sambal dishes that are not to be missed, namely their Sambal Kang Kong, Tofu, Prawn and Sotong.
To be honest, I felt warmth in the tummy as well as in my heart for I have been missing this taste ever since.

I will say that they have maintained the "99 Bend Braised Duck Rice" standard that I used to have during my school days. If to compare the popular braised duck rice we have in Singapore, for example, Sean Kee, I will say that they are of both different levels of taste, sometimes I will miss one of them. Last but not least, there are no service charges or GST to be paid here.

The duck rice is good.

The sauce is sweet. Duck is soft and tender.

Sambal kangkong is cooked the way I like it. The stems are soft and this dish compliments the Duck perfectly.

The people that runs this place are very friendly and can see that they have many returning customers.

Not so crowded during lunch time on Saturday.

Duck meat was tender, the sauce was very tasty. I liked the chilli as well. This is worth a try, and definitely quite worth it for the price - you do get quite an amount of duck meat.

We visited on a weekday early evening and managed to get seats for two easily. The owner of the store is very friendly and sat down to tell us about the menu. :)

There is a healthy portion of duck meat on the rice ($4) all drenched in sauce with herbal notes.

The thinly sliced duck meat is soft and tender. With a rather lean texture, there were no signs of fats nor skin. Not sure if these were intentionally removed but I would really enjoy savoring the skin.

Hailing from their old stall previously located at South Buona Vista Road, this legendary boneless duck rice stall—now run by the original founder’s brother-in-law—impresses with its super tasty and immensely tender duck.

The ‘lor’, or thick gravy, is sticky-sweet and packed full of flavour. The duck is cut thinly allowing for maximum sauce coverage and goes very well with either porridge or rice (I usually get both).
