Post-Japan trip, I was still dreaming about the soufflé pancakes I had in Fleur Kyoto. I visited Soylab when they recently opened, and I initially ordered just beverage. As we were seated, we noticed the waiters carrying out plates of these pancakes and soon after, we were waiting for ours. I would say, their pancakes were slightly less fluffy than the ones I had in Kyoto, so it wasn’t to my liking. I would come back for the soy-based desserts, but I would skip the pancakes altogether.

SOY Nice! @soylabmy offers a wide variety of soy desserts but the most striking or maybe dramatic is their Soy Frozen!

Their kakigori is made of thinly shaved soy ice atop a mound of grass jelly cubes, Azuki beans, pearls and crunchy crushed peanuts. A icy cold dessert for the sweltering heat. They even serve it with dry ice for the smokey “entrance” and homemade sugar syrup for those who love pour shots!

Three pieces of soyfflé pancakes served with soy whipped cream, brown sugar syrup and soganture soy soft served. The pancakes texture is slightly on the cakey side but pair well with the soft serve. RM22 per serving.

A combination of Soylab’s signature soy milk with yam paste. Requested for non sugar and it’s quite thick the texture. RM8 for regular size.

This Soy Souffle pancake had the optimum fluff level of a souffle pancake, with a deliciously soft taste of Soy. Topped off with fresh Strawberries and Blueberries with a generous scoop of Strawberry ice cream, this dessert tasted so pure making you to crave for more (RM 21)

The shaved ice is no way near korean bingsu of snow ice but it's definitely finer than your local typical ABC. Most importantly, it is instagram-worthy (lol).
