Amazing & great food!
By far my favourite cocktail at Spago! Itβs absolutely amazing (called Rough Love)
Dessert
We topped up $20 for their Traditional Kaiserschmarn, which is apparently an Austrian dessert - a sweet fluffy "souffle-like" pancake with rum-soaked raisins, and served sprinkled with powdered sugar. The pancake was soft and fluffy indeed, but I'm not that big a fan of rum so this was just alright for me. Strawberries were pretty sour too.
Definitely a great place for occasions, and I totally wouldn't mind coming back for their other dishes π€€.
Overall Rating: 8.5/10
It didn't really have strong enough smokey flavour I was expecting, altho the octopus texture was not bad (?). Also came with smoked potato, saffron, chorizo, tomato. Overall was decent but not as amazing as the appetisers tbh π€.
Mains
π Miso Broiled Ora King Salmon
NGL this really gave deconstructued sushi vibes with the Japanese pickles, hijiki seaweed rice, and ikura. The salmon was EXTREMELY soft and tender, and I really liked the flavour of the miso, which was pretty strong. Overall liked how all the flavours came together pretty well too.
Shout-out to their really soft and fluffy shokupan, which even had mushroom butter within the bun?! The seaweed butter was also pretty amazing - such strong seaweed flavours that paired so well with the bread.
