Crispy Roasted Duck (Half)- $28
·
Simple tender duck meat with the skin roasted to crispy. Even without any sauce it’s just as enjoyable. Great for sharing. Spring court have other tasty dishes as well, that’s suitable for young and old, making this traditional restaurant a great place for gathering & catching up

Spring Court
@springcourtsg

Was a bit disappointed at the food quality at Spring Court. I have been patronising the old restaurant at East Coast road since young. Ever since they shifted to Chinatown this was my first time there after so many years.

咸水角 is a Cantonese snack that's sticky and filled with meat. It's like our sesame ball but savoury. The one here was quite good. The prawn dumplings were straightforward and not helped by the old oil used.

So shiok wahaha. We though it's zha leung, but it's not exactly. It's indeed a crispy wafer instead of youtiao, so no dough but all the crispiness.

It was trying to use its quality ingredients to replace seasoning. I would say it half succeeded.

No complaints about the flavour and gooeyness. Relatively small. What's novel was they used pandan for the bun and although theoretically it's incompatible, the pandan was actually distinctive and complemented the salted egg.
