💕Fresh Cockles with Special Paste.
The cockles really fresh and served with special sauce that towards to sweet. We squeeze the lemon, it gives a sour tangy flavour to the sauce. It's really refreshing.
💰$11.8 (small).
💕Braised Pork in Soya Sauce.
It's tender with the right amount of fat.

A hot meal at spring leaf Taiwan porridge with refillable sweet potato porridge .

Request for the meat slices to be leaner for a lesser guilt meal .

Detected quite a fair bit of msg - but I Guess this is how it is with eating out :)

On a rainy cool night, a bowl of steaming hot sweet potato porridge and a few heart warming “home-y” dishes, makes an unforgettable meal of comfort food. This particular dish, dark soy sauce braised pork never fails. Try the fried omelette (chye po) and morning glory with fermented beans as well.

For a homely meal, springlead Taiwan porridge is the place to visit.

I have been dining her with my parents since I was 6 and its been decades and they are still around so has the head Chef and some of the waitresses. With cafes and chain restaurants opening and closing , it’s nice to see a piece of the past still remaining 😌.

The preserved vegetable and braised pork is flavourful and not greasy ( the restaurant has very kindly taken note of our order for lean meat instead of the usual fatty meat).

The chye poh egg is also well made - fluffy , juicy ( yes ! Very moist ) without being too greasy .

I wouldn’t say that the dishes are 10/10 type but set your expectation of eating from your mum’s kitchen and you should be very happy with the homestyle food served here.

I like that the sweet potato porridge is served free flow 🤤. Best for rainy evenings or when you feel under the weather .

Service is prompt and very friendly 😊 so this is a plus plus plus point .

springleaf porridge in the evening. mei cai lu rou was awesome. not overly salty, yet fragrant. gonna skip the fu rong egg and go back to cai poh egg in the future. skipping the tofu too. can't go wrong with the casual stir fried lettuce. portions are kinda small though. and @tanrregina made a cameo appearance for supper with the latest world cup updates after our porridge dinner.

15 per pax.
