Inside the ground floor food court of CT Hub 2 building in Kallang is a corner stall that the health-conscious will appreciate. Owned and run by a young female hawker, it offers a decent variety of salads and wraps.
When I was there today, I got the $4.90 base salad. It turned out to be acceptable in size (but if you're famished, maybe not) and really fresh in taste. Comprising of chopped romaine lettuce as a starting point, I got to pick five toppings (went for kidney beans, pasta, sweet corn, black olives and beetroot). Since breakfast seemed like a lifetime ago, I forked out an extra $2 for a premium topping of tuna mayo as well. It was the only one left as the other options which include avocado prawn and smoked salmon, had run out by the time I was there for my very late lunch.
Based on the quality and taste of what I had, this is a stall I can see myself frequenting whenever I happen to be in the area.
A large bowl of salad (1 base and 5 toppings) with the soup of the day. Just suffcient to make you survive from lunch to dinner.
