It seems that canned cold brews are probably the next big thing in the specialty coffee scene in Singapore — with the launch of the canned specialty coffee from Alchemist, Stamping Ground Coffee has also launched their canned cold brew (only available in black at the point of writing) — the item being available at Stamping Ground Coffee, being retailed in their physical shop space at Upper East Coast Road.

If one is to wonder if there are any differences between canned cold brews and bottled cold brews — it all lies with the packaging. But that being said, the Balanced Black Cold Brew is actually pretty satisfying here — it delivers what it promises; a rather balanced concoction where the black cold brew comes with a fruity body and an earthy finish; all that whilst being clean with no lingering aftertaste, despite being a rather punchy cold brew.

Always interesting to see how specialty cafes that are part of the third-wave coffee movement being innovative with their coffee and related products, bringing consumers a new experience with convenience in mind. Would not be surprised if an established coffeehouse will mass produce their canned coffees and make them available for retailed in major supermarkets; that will be an interesting time in the local coffee scene if it happens ...

Ordered the hot latte & Cold Brew with milk.

The moment the coffee enters your mouth, the coffee taste hits your tongue and it’s so smooth that it glides down your throat.

Probably one of the best coffee I had in Singapore

For $14 you get fried spam, caramelised onions, scrambled eggs, and some sriracha mayo in a bagel. I’m not gonna lie: in a basic-ass bagelwich like this, the only component I could possibly rave about would be the bagel — which, here, is unfortunately nothing noteworthy. In fact it was hardly what I’d call a bagel at all, boasting a texture more akin to a French roll sans the crisp crust. Don’t get me wrong this wasn’t bad at all — one can hardly fuck up spam and eggs — and it definitely was satisfactory enough to hit the spot. Would I recommend intentionally having it? Naaaaah.

This is a really welcoming and open space with a great service team and really good coffee. Their food offerings are pretty standard, but I’d happily sit here with a coffee and chat the day away with a friend or two. Definitely my fave neighbourhood coffee spot.


This little cosy cafe is set in the latest trend of being part of an integrated floral shop, with a communal setting and no-frills dining experience. While we found the food mediocre (There is no kitchen, all food is prepared via microwave in an open bar counter), the coffee was the star. I thoroughly enjoyed the Magic (Double Ristretto), which was creamy and smooth.

The Hubs on the other hand, didn't really like the Sumatran blend of coffee which left a spicy aftertaste, pretty strong even through the sweetness of his Mocha blend. So I guess we're kinda on the fence on the coffee here? ☕💖🤔
