Went to Standing Sushi Bar last Thursday and ordered the Promotion: $3.90 Salmon Sashimi (x4 portions), Sake ($3), Umeshu ($6), and other non-promotional items like Pork Katsu Curry Rice ($19) and Yaki Gyu Niku Hotplate ($21)!😇 Bill came out to $85 for 2 pax after GST and SVC Charge😳

Honestly the Curry Rice was a little disappointing, the rest were fine but the Yaki Gyu Niku was 💯 HAHA so overall ratings are 7/10!

is a thing. Love that there's 50% off many of their sushi and sashimi, and the salmon sashimi comes in thick slices and is absolutely fresh. Plus, at $6, is a steal and a highlight of the meal. Pair it with some cold soba and its a great way to end the evening.

Plus, it's rare to find other dining spots open at 830pm on a weekday. Last order closes at 845pm

Had a delightful fitting end to the Uni life with an Uni Beer 🤫

Known for their Monday & Thursday awesome salmon sashimi deal, Standing Sushi Bar actually offers Omakase experience as well.

Search me up on IG @imsohhungry to view the full course I had.

Bottom sushi is the award-winning sushi, created by Chef Sky for World Sushi Cup 2018 which later earned him the winning title for Creative Sushi.

Thank you Chef Sky for the scrumptious meal. We had a great time there.

Omakase $120++

Standing Sushi Bar is well known for their Salmon Sashimi Promotion which happens on Mondays and Thursdays after 6pm. They sell their fresh sashimi pieces at $3 for 5 pieces. This plate features 30 pieces for $18. It doesn’t look like much, but I have to admit that the slices have gotten much smaller since the last time I ate at the Queens Street branch, which has closed down. Although the slices are smaller now, the high quality of sashimi remains, and literally melts in your mouth. It tastes fresh, and sweet, and is perfect with the combination of wasabi and soy sauce. An enjoyable meal that is really worth the money with the promotion!
