Starbucks (The Metropolis)

Milk teas at Starbucks are ALWAYS disappointing for me. They always have a powdery taste and aftertaste. Not at all smooth. I struggled to finish this and all the other tea lattes I've ever tried. Any food court milk tea is better than this. Additionally, for a VANILLA black tea latte, the vanilla was barely there. Couldn't taste it. Vanilla is not just supposed to be a sweet taste but has a distinct fragrance, which was definitely not there. Gotta stick to the coffees here. And even the iced teas are good.

Christmas is coming once again! And along the range of Christmas goodies that Starbucks have rolled out this season comes this Milk Pudding (S$3.90). Though the pricing is pitched on the higher side given that it is only 100g of pudding in one mini cup, the sweetness of this dessert qualifies it as a Christmas dessert (well, Christmas goodies do tend to be on the sweeter note, right?). A delicate dessert that dissolves in your mouth instantly, that’s how soft it is.

It appears that there are two designs for each flavour (there’s also a Chocolate pudding in a black cup), and because the plastic cup is of a decent quality, I will most likely recycle it as a container for small items or as a mini pot for growing of plants.

Basically our favourite childhood dessert made into a frappuccinos. But please remember to make your less sweet request 😂

It is fruit, refreshing and most importantly, tastes of tea, grapefruit and honey (as opposed to overly sweet cordial). The s'mores cake here, with is marshmallow top, layers of chocolate and biscuit, was a tad sweet, but still very enjoyable when you are just hanging out and taking a break.
And yes, for some inexplicable reason, Jonathan became Jonas (on the cup). #burpple #starbuckssg

The drink itself is sweet, while the coffee pudding tasted distinctly bitter. Definitely a must-try drink for coffee fans! This is more of a sweet treat, but the bitterness from the pudding kinda balances it out. Would give this a 3.5/5 😊

Creamy Green Tea Frappuccino that’s been swirled with Earl Grey syrup is then layered on top. We then finish the drink with more whipped cream and a dusting of green tea powder."

A perfect drink for those with a sweet tooth (like myself), even though I find it a little too milky for my liking. Nevertheless, the earl grey infusion was perfect - loved how the hint of earl grey complemented this matcha drink really well! I'd give this a 4.5/5 👍🏼
