Nice drinks as usual. Easy to order via the app and then collect for takeaway!

This a surprisingly nice drink! The coffee and tea flavor compliment each other really well~ Normal sugar level recommended!!

My rating: 5/5 ⭐️

Still my go-to drink at Starbucks. Unlike other Starbucks drinks, the Matcha Espresso Fusion tends to be the most variable and outlet/barista-dependent. Found the espresso much stronger here than the ones I’ve tried at other outlets. I wish there was a stronger matcha taste to counterbalance the espresso in this cup but this was certainly good for an afternoon caffeine shot.

Definitely a must have for me. The Yuzu flavour cut though the creamy New York style cheesecake, giving it a refreshing and citrusy edge. Genmaicha flavour was unfortunately delegated as a mild aftertaste.

Although I mentioned in a previous review that I enjoy CBTL coffee more than Starbucks, I keep returning to Starbucks because of the service. It really seems to me that 95% of the time when I enter Starbucks I’m treated to chirpy, warm, friendly and patient baristas who make me feel welcome. And this isn’t just limited to local Starbucks outlets, but also extends to outlets overseas. I certainly can’t say the same for other coffee chains or more artisanal roasters.

I needed something stronger rather than something sugary today so I opted for the cold brew with coconut milk. Was served by a new barista today who was very sweet but still inexperienced with making drinks as the matcha latte and cascara macchiato in the same order came looking pretty different on top - especially the cascara macchiato with disappointing caramel drizzled latte art. I’m pretty sure she’ll improve with time though. Another thing that struck me today was that I actually had to request for mugs for the hot drinks after stating we were having the drinks here. It’s not a deal breaker of course, but most times I wish these coffee houses would be more eco-friendly and also actively encourage their customers to be. Unfortunately i didn’t bring my own tumbler today as I usually order hot drinks so I ended up with a plastic cup - sorry Mother Earth 🌏 😭

The cold brew at Starbucks is not bad, strong enough to perk me up a little in the afternoon and stave off the zzzs. I love the option of coconut milk which is super aromatic and undercuts some of the natural bitterness of the cold brew since I’m not used to drinking black coffee. This is also a great low calorie swap as compared to flavoured coffees, so it’s definitely making its way into my regular rotation at Starbucks. ✌🏻

Was gonna order my regular hot mocha when the barista asked if I wanted to try one of the limited edition items so I went with the Cascara Macchiato. I asked for less sugar, and it was actually quite nice! Note that there’s caramel drizzled over the top of the foam which makes the foam layer really sweet, but the drink itself below with less sugar tastes good. You can still taste the coffee, so it hasn’t been overpowered by the syrup nor the milk. I’d probably order this again while it’s still available, but with less sugar and with less syrup drizzle on the top as well!

When all the Frappuccinos are getting overwhelming or boring, I realised that their new Cold Foam Iced Espresso (S$7.30 for Grande size) was actually a new love. With espresso shots poured over freshly-whipped foam using their blender (they should have done this long ago!), the combination had proven itself to be milky smooth with that caffeine kick.

The coolest part of this beverage, is that unlike all previous drinks, this one came with a special lid with an outlet, perfectly fitted for that enjoyable sipping moment. No straws needed for this drink, and it’s best not to stir, else it would have defeated the purpose of cold foam.

(P.S.: It appears that the strawless lid will be progressively replacing the current plastic lids in support of phasing straws out from Starbucks. Though not all stores may use the new lids for this drink, try to ask for a strawless lid to reduce plastic use.)
