Torimomo Kurozu Itame Teishoku
sauté deep fried chicken and vegetables in suju black vinegar

Japanese style comfort food. The grilled fish and croquettes go well with the white rice. I didn’t find the white rice fantastic though...

Find comfort Japanese food right here! The grilled salmon was delicious, and the rice was pearl-y (is this even a word?) and good. Food is simple yet executed excellently - perfect for a no-frills meal to fill your tummies. Nothing else needs to be said I think.

You pay for the quality of the food and I guess the location is quite central as well. Service was great.

If you’re looking for a standard Japanese restaurant with good quality food, you can consider this classic restaurant!

Miso sauce was sooo good - I need more! 😫 Just want to slather it on my fish and rice. Rice and miso soup as usual were fantastic. The bones were not so ideal for an impatient eater like me though. The ambience is better at the Jewel outlet.

Still prefer their fried chicken with black vinegar.

The Japanese scrambled eggs are so fluffy soft and light, infusing the starchy white rice with eggy sweet flavour.
.
The tender chunks of chicken are seasoned with light soy sauce and mirin rice wine, resulting in a savoury salty sweet flavour.
.
Finished with dashi (bonito & seaweed) stock. However, the delicious flavours don't sufficiently reach throughout the bowl, resulting in a decently tasty dish that shows potential for more.
.
Accompanied by a bowl of rich miso soup, and sharp sour pickles for contrast on the palate.

This Japanese rolled egg omelette is so fluffy and soft, with a juicy bite to texture.
.
Delicate eggy sweet savoury flavour. Accompanied by sweet grated daikon radish which helps cleanse the palate.
.
Best eaten warm, in-house when freshly made.
