Here at Summer TRUFFLE Fiesta, Sumire Yakitori has introduced not 1, not 2, but 7 truffle dishes that are bound to blow your mind! πŸ‘πŸ» From appetisers to desserts, they are really leaving no stones unturned! βœ”
.
Start off with their Truffle Potato Salad ($7.80++) topped with a runny ramen egg 🍳, where the earthy taste from truffle paste mixed with potato mash πŸ₯”, & truffle oil dressing on the salad greens πŸ₯¬ was evident. If you want something more than the classic Truffle Fries ($7.80++) 🍟, go for their Truffle Fried Chicken ($32.80++ whole/$18.80++ half)! This was undoubtedly my favourite dish of the night - a must-try when you’re here! ❀❀❀
.
Their signature fried chicken is luxuriously seasoned with premium truffle salt & parmesan cheese πŸ§€, with meats remaining soft & juicy within the lightly-battered coat that is fried to the perfect crisp. πŸ—πŸ—πŸ— The chicken is marinated in sake for a day before cooking, which imparts an irresistible tenderness (even for chicken breast meat) & enriching its flavours! πŸ’―
.
Meat-lovers would love their Truffle Wagyu Zabuton Steak ($25.80++) πŸ₯©πŸ₯©πŸ₯©, where you can sink your teeth into the tender & juicy wagyu steak (rare cut) that is truffle-infused. πŸ‘πŸ» Pro-tip: dip a little truffle salt to enhance the flavours!
.
Another crowd favourite was the Truffle Pizza ($11.80++) πŸ•, where you can enjoy full-blown truffle flavours from the generous amount of truffle paste spread atop the crispy thin crust πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹, accompanied with Eringi mushrooms πŸ„. If you want something more filling, go for their Truffle Ramen ($17.80++) 🍜, where you can slurp up those springy ramen noodles in truffle-infused Daisen Tori broth with some chicken chunks. πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
.
End off the meal on a sweet note with their Honey Truffle Ice Cream ($5.80++), which features vanilla ice cream 🍦 drizzled in honey 🍯 & truffle oil. I was really skeptical initially but my worries were uncalled for - the combination worked well for me surprisingly & I quickly found myself hooked onto this creamy scoop! 🀀🀀🀀 A very interesting creation & surprisingly good! πŸ’•
.
Thank you @sumiresg @singaporefoodlisting @kenpgl for the invite & the trufflicious spread! 😘

The new Grand Menu has added even more vibrancy to the already wide selection of food that Sumire Yakitori offers! 🀩🀩🀩
.
Start off your meal with Fresh Oysters ($12.80++ for 2pcs, $18.80++ for 3pcs), freshly imported from Japan! πŸ‡―πŸ‡΅ These raw oysters are super huge & juicy, with its ultimate freshness evident from the lack of fishy or metallic taste. πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» Instead, you can savour its natural sweetness from the burst of juices, with flavours elevated by citrusy ponzu sauce & poppin’ ikura. 🀀🀀🀀 Easily one of the biggest & freshest oysters I’ve tried - loving it! ❀
.
In for more raw stuff? Try their Sushi Platter 6 Kinds (12pcs) ($36.80++) 🍣🍣🍣, which features Aburi salmon mentai mayo, Ikura (roe), Unagi (eel), Hamachi (amberjack), Salmon & Maguro Zuke (marinated tuna) sushi - good for sharing! πŸ‘ŒπŸ»
.
It was an explosion of flavours with Fuwa Fuwa Yamaimo Steak ($8.80++), a close fight to being my favourite! πŸ’• A layer of soft Japanese mountain yam 🍠 that has the starchy yet smooth texture resembling mashed potato πŸ₯”, the dish is topped with bonito flakes, savoury-sweet okonomiyaki sauce & mayo, which lends so much flavours to the earthy yam. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ Their Ebi Mayo ($8.80++), featuring crispy prawn tempura 🦐 coated with spicy mayo, was flavourful too.
.
Yodare Dori ($9.80++) was reminiscent of Hainanese white poached chicken πŸ“ - the same tenderness! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ» I’m sure locals can identify with this succulent cut of steamed chicken on beansprouts, topped with coriander & homemade spicy sauce. 🌢
.
My favourite dish would undoubtedly be the Otsumami Pizza ($9.80++)! πŸ’― This thin-crust pizza was exceptionally crispy & well-flavoured with a generous amount of mentaiko paste, cheese πŸ§€ & nori flakes, making this an irresistible savoury treat. πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹ For those who want something more filling, try their Gyutan Curry Rice ($10.80++), which features really tender stewed beef tongue curry with rice. πŸ› Don’t worry - this is nothing like Fear Factor - certainly a decent bowl of Jap curry don!πŸ‘πŸ»
.

Ishiyaki Hitsumabushi Gozen - $24.80

Grilled eel on rice served with dashi broth. Slices of salmon sashimi, Japanese pickles Tsukemono and miso soup to complete the meal. Not the best definitely but it’s a lively dinning place that’s great for catch up and beer drinking
