Really loved the softness, fragrance and texture of their desserts. Would go back again to try more.

It was a decent slice of sugee cake but I'm not sure if I would pay $5.30 for this small slice again when there are better renditions available. For one, it could be slightly less sweet and do without the sugary lemon drizzle which was a distraction from the buttery and nutty aroma of the cake. Another problem was with the texture - it was dry and crumbly around the sides even though the centre was faultlessly moist. Service was excellent - the staff are very welcoming and friendly. I would be happy to visit this cafe again to try their other offerings, but I would probably pass on the sugee cake.

Light and fluffy bread that is well-toasted with generous spread of light green hue pandan-flavoured kaya & slabs of butter.
The photo doesn’t do justice to the toast though.

After a long hectic week at work (Had probably lost at least 0.5 kg over the past 6 days), it’s time to take a break and reward myself.
First stop - Back @ Sunset Railway Cafe to try out their Sugee cake with lemon drizzle & attap-seed ice-cream. A classic favourite and it sure tastes as good as it looks!

The rice vermicelli topped with fried shallots, chopped tau pok, two prawns and hard-boiled egg is soaked in a spicy, tangy, sour and savoury gravy [No chives, please]. It’s simple yet satisfying!

I haven’t eaten a lot of kueh lopes in the past but this lovely bite-sized glutinous rice served with grated coconut and ample gula melaka is a dessert that I will surely be back for more!
