For a more affordable omakase-style experience, this classy Japanese restaurant in the city offers lunch sets that won't break the bank. The TEN set (RM80) gets you eight types of sushi plus an appetiser, steamed egg, a sushi roll, miso soup and dessert. The sushi served is based on what's available, and you can look forward to incredibly fresh fish like Japanese barracuda and bluefin tuna on warm rice. Sushi is served one at a time in true omakase fashion, and for this, we recommend putting the chopsticks aside and enjoy the event with your fingers. P.s This lunch set is also available on weekends!

Egg custard comes in between the meal; after your third or fourth sushi. So savoury and the flavours are so well-balanced. The touch of tobiko is super indulgent! But it adds amazing texture contrast against the silky custard.

Plump bluefin tuna that also just melts in your mouth. This was the last of the sushi journey and I think this was the best way to end it. Probably the freshest tuna I’ve had.

Lucky me to be able to have this juicy scallop! It’s slightly torched and lightly coated in soy. Love how each sushi is served with warm rice – reminded me so much of Japan!

My first omakase-ish experience started off with me fumbling here and there with the towels, seat, and basically just trying to communicate with the chef. But once that was all cleared up, this turned into an amazing experience.

Lunch sets here are extremely affordable. The TEN set gets you eight pieces of sushi (left up to the chef) and more. Pictured is Japanese barracuda. Very tender and instantly melts in your mouth.

With sushi and sashimi expertly sliced and prepared by Chef Hideaki Oritsuki - a sushi master from Nagoya, Japan - you know you're in for a treat. Flown in multiple times each week, all the ingredients are incredibly fresh and of extremely high quality. Put your tastebuds in the Master Chef's hands by ordering the Omakase, and simply sit back, relax and enjoy the good food coming your way.
