Sushi JIN

371 Wishlisted
~$60/pax
It all sparked with a vision to create a quality concept that could plug the gap between the mass-market and fine-dining tier of Japanese cuisine in Singapore. Being one of Asia’s most influential players in the F&B market, it was only a matter of time before Sushi Jin was born in the hands of the Les Amis Group, creating a rounded experience for diners offering high quality Japanese food, service and environment without the hefty price tag. From designer Mallorca chairs, oak-panel counters, to intricately designed hand-pressed menus; guests at Sushi Jin can expect a carefully curated dining space that is not overtly extravagant, yet exudes a quiet sense of elegance and luxurious comfort. The pristine setting of Sushi Jin is equally matched by its gastronomic offerings – quality ingredients are flown in 3 times a week from Tokyo’s famed Tsukiji market, while the sake range features labels that are exclusively hand-picked to complement the menu.

Fresh cuts of premium sashimi that include uni & ikura served on a decent portion of high quality sushi rice, worth the lunchtime set price point that includes a salad + dessert.

The lunch was 80 before tax and gst.
There is appetiser, sashimi, 1 cooked food, assorted sushi, soup and peach sorbet ice cream.
Pretty full and we asked for less rice.
Worth to give it a try!
The sweet shrimp with crab sauce sushi was mind blowing.

Wagyu beef cooked to perfection with truffle oil and served together with onions and sous vide egg in a donburi. The runny whites and yolk from the onsen egg goes so well with the truffled onions and medium well wagyu: The beef dissolves and the goodness and flavours are liquefied with the crunchiness from the onions and short grain japanese rice.

Never thought to have my ootoro sushi torched!
Thanks to the recommendation of chef who never walks alone- @louischan242
The torching changes the taste dramatically, as the flames melt the fatty tuna oil, causing a nice mix with the fragrant japanese rice, truly a match made in heaven! ($32) #burpple

Foie Gras with Hotate sushi 😋 The gold leaf sitting on the sprinkle of caviar looks like a crown, so befitting for this sushi KING! #burpple

The grand finale for the assortment of sushi’s I’ve tasted would be this Uni | Foie Gras | Hotate ensemble. Comprising of all my favourite ingredients, I was way too excited to devour this. The foie gras, albeit good, overwhelmed the sweetness of the hotate and freshness of the uni. No doubt an indulgence, the individual ingredients failed to shine through, with the foie gras taking centre stage.
