I don't trust anyone who dislikes mangoes. What's there not to like about them? They're sweet, juicy, refreshing and unbelievably delicious. One of my favourite forms of mango dessert is mango pudding, which is what I got from Swee Heng.

This mango pudding comes with a layer of pudding atop a really soft cake. The pudding is very very creamy, much like a custard as compared to a more jelly-like pudding. It's pretty sweet so paired with the cake, the sugary-ness can get a bit jelak after a while.

A pretty nice dessert but I think I prefer Swee Heng's other cakier options. However a good try if you're into mango or fruity cakes!

Another one of 1989 Classic's famous mochi buns! Was a little unsure about this bun cuz it seems like some buns have mochi while some don't, even though they're labelled the exact same? Felt like Schrodinger's Cat when cutting this open, cuz will there be mochi? Will there be nothing? Thankfully mine had mochi in it, would have been disappointed if it didn't!

This bread is really like a mooncake-inspired bread! The purple crust thing is like a flaky skin that teochew mooncakes have, its really interesting. The yam filling kinda has a doughy taste imo? I didn't mind it but not my fav yam filling I've had. The salted egg and mochi are really nice! Bread is the dense and chewy kind.

Really interesting bread that is worth a try! Personally not that into their yam filling, but it's not bad and it's pretty generously filled. It's these kinds of unique buns that make me like 1989 Classic so much πŸ˜‹

picked this up because it looked hefty and had the bestseller tag! it’s not written in the name but it actually had cheese on top and tastes like a cheese bread, with some cranberry and walnut bits inside. i liked the cranberries which lent a slight sweetness that matched well with the savoury cheese! wish there were more walnuts tho bc i can count the number of them with one hand πŸ˜”

Rich chocolate that complements the sweeheng type of mochi. I like this!

Sweet and savour combi! It is pretty good but defo better if yam:floss ratio is 1:1 :")

Finally tried this after being traumatised by their purple sweet potato last time. Thankfully it turns out well πŸ˜†
