🍴Impossible Burger, Fries & Coleslaw
💰 $14.90++
🌟 3.5/5

First time trying the Impossible Burger and you can't tell the difference between this and regular beef patties! However burger was on the smaller side, and was rather dry. Food took quite awhile to be served (20+ mins) as well.

A sweet and savoury combo. Not usually one who orders salted desserts but decided to switch things up a bit today and I’m proud to say that it was a good decision indeed! The salty touch adds a nice twist to the usual sickly sweet dessert. There were chocolate balls and almond nuts that adds a crunch to the dessert but what I liked the most were the cocoa pops, that remains crunchy despite soaking in the melted icecream for quite some time. Surprisingly delicious!

Pretty big and thick fish fillet (much larger than I expected tbh) that was really moist and well-seasoned, topped with a small dollop of butter. Served with a special sambal chili on the side but I felt that the fish itself was already very delicious on its own due to the dry sambal seasoning on the fish. The buttery fragrance added as the butter melts on the fish was the icing to the cake.

Side dishes were disappointing though. Chose mashed potatoes and vegetable-of-the-day as my sides but the corn was mushy and I was not a fan of the grainy texture and taste of the mashed potatoes.

I rarely patronise Swensens these days but decided to give it a try on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately many dishes were sold out. I chose the Oriental Chilli Fish Pasta, and was pleasantly surprised. It was well seasoned and tasty. The soup of the day was awesome too.

And no Swensen meal is complete without ice cream! We tried the 2 new flavours: salted butterscotch and floral honey. A tad too sweet but they were both very yummy. Brought back great memories of my childhood.
